Sorry if I don't like to line my room with wrinkled ass Mylar like in your journal. I try to avoid loosing all reflectivity and creating hotspots. Nice white floor btw, I take it you like reflecting light up to the underside of your leaves?
You just jelly how custom it is. The pics really don't do it justice. It's 5.5'x8'x7'.

why not line the walls with some cheap 3/8" plywood? then hang your reflective material from that with ramjet nails or screws. you lose a lot of the reflective properties of that material with all those bends and folds. or use something a little sturdier like reflective insulation. just my opinion, but that does look like it's gonna be a bitch to keep clean.

1. I need the storage space outside of the "room"
2. Its a rental and wanted to do as little damage as possible.
3. Its a basement and water will come into the corners of the actual room, or build up behind any plywood I were to put on the concrete. Hence this one is away from the outer walls and protected by a wall of boxes full of shit which also supply insulation.
4. A diffuse reflective material like this panda does not loose much reflectivity like mylar does when it gets wrinkled a lil.
5. The large horizontal folds will flatten out, that is how they roll it up.

you obviously framed it out so sticking some plywood on the inside walls isn't going to affect anything you mentioned. that's what i would have done. then you could have just painted it white and been done with it. plywood is probably cheaper than the panda stuff you bought. good luck though.

And why is that? It's legal, not in violation of my lease, and the land lord is cool with it so long as I don't fuck shit up very bad.
I'd say for 50' feet worth of panda film and a few hours work to have a decent grow space is not too shabby.

I didn't frame anything, its hanging from the rafters of the 100 yo wood floor above. Its sort of like a giant package the way the bottoms are connected.
And again I cant frame out walls and put insulation behind drywall or plywood, its not my house and the owner wants to leave that room unfinished because that's how it was before, and over the years water ruined the drywall and caused mold issues. They've since fixed up the foundation and regraded but wants to leave it this way.

PS> Sorry I'm not a fancy home owner, actually in the process of looking for a 5bdr with some land, only moved here 5 months ago. Maybe then I can be as legit as you and root clones next to a dog pen in the garrage by all the dirty yard tools. Or grow in Lowes buckets on an unfinished concrete floor.

thanks. nothing commercial though. i'm a developer by trade so i'm building the new space just for shits and giggles really. most of my harvest goes in my jars or to my friends at very reasonable rates. i don't grow for cash. well, anything more than expenses.

Looks good to me, I would make sure to seal all your seams a bit better though. Long flap seems are a good place for moisture to collect and cause issues in the environment like mold. I'd agree though that Plywood applied to a frame and some paint and taped seems would have been a bit more sturdy and tidy and really would have cost about the same with just another hour or 2 of work. Then again this all depends on tools as well, so if you didn't have much in the way of power tools I see your reasoning here.

Well in that case VERY nice. I thought for sure with all that work you were a small commercial grower. Much respect for that as a home grow setup. I've figured I can more than take care of my entire family's mmj needs with a 2400w/1200w set-up I've got planned for after we find a place, that 6000+ you've got going would, well be illegal for me, plus be way too much, hehe.

Yea, we didn't even bring half the furniture when when moved here let alone the shed full of tools, hehe. I suppose I could have built a lil mini room out of wood in the middle of this basement room and lined that, but this is much more temporary and less pain in the ass. Maybe I should have prefaced this with this is my 2nd grow, and is an upgrade from the 4'x3' closet I just finished growing in, hehe.

yea, i like planning and building stuff. can't stay still i guess. i offset each side of the flower room so i pull 3000w every month instead of 6000w every 2 months. mostly i built it to experiment with strains, techniques, and nutes. i like to oversize shit. better to have more room than you need than not enough. especially if you have the space.
