My humble little grow in Colorado.

Socata - Thank you. I've pretty much got them going plug and play. I try to keep things simple and organic in all my growing.

Chef - I like the Air-Pots quite a lot. I have a bunch of peppers in them and they are all going insane. Are they better than a regular pot? I don't have enough experience with them to tell that yet. I did grab some 5"x5" White Active Aqua pots to try though. They are roughly the same dimensions as the air pot but hold twice as much soil. I'm going to start a grow with four un-named auto beans from Golden Nugggets and see how they do. They aren't supposed to get more than 12" tall so it should be interesting.

How do u like those plastic pots w the holes in them? Always wonder, I'm locked into my air pots, but I think they look cool.
I love mine. Everyone complains they are expensive. They will last 50 years I bet.
I don't think they are better than air pots. I do think airpots and superoots airpots are better than regular pots.

So here are some pics of my new little stealth project. I cracked four Golden Nuggets Baby Cough seeds and they hit soil this morning. They are an auto and only supposed to get 12" at the tallest.

It's a small 30"x15" wall cabinet that I spray painted flat white on the inside, lined with caulk and weather stripping to keep the light in, and I'm running 6 23w CFLs in there for a total of 9600 lumens, I will also have a fan in there. I figure that should be enough since the plants are slammer and mostly just a cola. I will be running Fox Farm Ocean Forest and layering with Happy Frog Bulb mix. I'm going to keep this one VERY simple as I figure these plants were designed for stealth and cfls. We'll see. I'm pretty stoked about adding this little grow.

Kramer, that's an awesome DIY. Did you build the light fixture? If so, and they are standard bulb sockets, you could put 35W bulbs in there if you feel like you need more light, but 6x23w ought to do it I would think. That box should be perfect for autos. Probably would be easier to keep autos on autopilot, which would be nice for me. I'm thinking I might try some of those next.

Nice work on the build, can't wait to see how it works.

Got one last thing to warn you about the Tobacco. Hope that you dot get one of these as a visitor. Wikipedia says the Horned Tobacco Worm (aka Goliath Worm) grows to 3", but I call BS on that, I've seen them 5-6" & 1/2 to 3/4" around. Nasty bastard, full of a lovely green puss. They're hell on Tobacco

Just kidding, you won't see those outside of the SE, but thought y'all might find it interesting. Sure am lad there aren't horned weed worms :grin:image.jpg

Bubba, I did make the hood for that. I was going to run larger bulbs but I didn't for two reasons. While surfing the CFL and Stealth forums it seems like a lot of the guys and first timers run what they can find at Home Depot or Walmart so I decided to run the 26w. Also the larger bulbs won't fit in the cab on that fixture. I like the fixture as it really pumps the light below the simple reflector and it isn't wasted in the top of the cab. I finished the underside of the fixture with flat white and the top with gloss. I'm anal like that.

I'm going to hook some PVC elbows with the inside painted black for the vents and to block some of the light coming out. I really wanted to have a grow that showcased the potential for what I believe was intended for a 12" auto plant. I think the guy running Golden Nuggets Genetics is a great guy from the few times I've grabbed seeds from him and talked to him, he is very kind, helpful, and knows a ton. I have also tried some of his mid-grade flowers and I was totally locked up and feeling great so I'm glad to grow the seeds. I like that here in Colorado we can run Colorado genetics.

420 - Thank you for the kind comment. I will for sure add more pictures than probably most folks even want to see. :)

That worm is NUTS. Looks like awesome chicken food though.

I do and a fan as well so that I can keep temps down. It will be in the basement and that averages the mid 60's at all times so it should be OK.

Edited to add a couple of pics of my NastyNugz Verry Berry Kush at 16 days.

I'll be watching for sure. Yeah the 35W bulbs are pretty chunky now I think about it. On the intakes, I use the black PVC short radius 90s back to back and haven't been able to detect any light from reflection or anything, at least for sizes 2" and up. I ducted the lame clone box that I made out of the Rubbermaid tub through into my main cab so I wouldn't have to add a fan. That part worked well, but the rest is a pain in the ass. I haven't told the old lady I'm building another cab yet and I start in the morning.... This is probably gonna cost me a weekend trip somewhere again...

Now I think about it, if this cab is anywhere near your main fan, you could probably just duct it in and not need a fan, but that would make it a bit obvious I guess....

Oooooo...I LOVE THAT IDEA!!! I can hook up a larger fan from the outside and funnel it down and increase the air flow vs. a smaller fan on the inside of the cab. You ROCK, Bubba.

No I think it was a auto jack of some type. But it only got veg nutes and that was prob only 3 or 4 times. Water the rest of the time and from got a quarter in 60 days total from crack to chop. I think that it coulda done much better if I hit it w bloom and my booster of choice bloombastic.

Thank you, Bubba. :D

I don't. I'm a nervous goon. Funny thing, I can grow a million plants and still worry about them. I'm a freak like that.

So my new project officially started today. I had a 100% germ rate on my Golden Nuggets Baby Cough Autos. I will repot them in their new pots in a week or so and put them in their new cab. Right now they are a couple of inches below some HO T5s. I'm stoked.
