New Legal REC Grow- what would YOU choose?

Hey Canna Family!!

I’ve recently been blessed with a job opportunity. The job of my dreams, consulting for a Recreational Cannabis Startup in Oregon.

My first assignment was to go shopping and order every strain that I thought we would need in the future. I went through Attitude Seeds and Cannabis Family seeds, and both seed banks gave me a great deal
And hooked it up with some awesome freebies for my personal grow.

Now I have been given my next assignment. I need to choose 4 or 5 strains for our first few rounds. I need 1 indica, 1 Sativa, 1 hybrid, and 1 or 2 connoisseur flavors that are sure to perform well.

I need to choose good performing strains that will be able to produce up to 1LB per plant.

I will include a list of all the strains at the bottom of this post.

Uhhm, have you done ANY market research, you know, like asking your licensed buyers what they want, and what they are paying for it?

yes I have done research. I have been doing research on the medical benefits of cannabis for years. I know that my specific neurological condition is best remedied with cannabis that has a ratio of 1:1 THC to CBd, so I made sure to obtain at least 5 different strains that have been tested with those numbers.
The diversity of the gene pool we are working with when we start our breeding projects are important to me, so I sourced as many diverse land races as and heirloom strains as I possibly could. I made road trips and entered contests to get genetics from legendary forum breeders like KaK, Tumbleweed, and Bodhi.
I got classic strains that we grew up smoking, for the old timers who like the older flavors.
I got high CBD strains that we will be growing specifically for FECO, and CBd isolate and super Terpy flavors that will make some tasty live rosin and shatter.

I might not Be the best grower, but I do know a thing or two about genetics, and about self medicating with a number of different cannabis products. My body is weak, my mind is just fine.

If you're in Oregon, why don't you just get some clones for the first couple rounds. That way you have proven genetics while you pheno hunt through the seeds. Not sure how many seeds you've grown out, but they're not always winners.

That is an option that they are considering. I have access to another 100 or so strains in clone form, but the people in charge, who are making the decisions are worried about inheriting pests and/or sickness if they acquire clones locally.

The Russet Mites have really been terrible in Oregon these past couple years.
