inoculated this bag over a month ago. looks like the the mycelium has colonized at least 95 % of this bag . it is currently in my grow room receiving 12/12 light schedule . the moisture level looks like it is dropping daily within the bag.. what do i do next ?

leave it be
take it out of the bag and cold dunk it in the fridge overnight..
break it up and case it (although i dont want to do that)
or should i cut the top off and mist it with distilled water daily.

basically i need to know what to do to induce fruiting. thanks alot

I'd let it sit 2 or 3 more days, it doesn't look completely colonized.
Why not crumble and case?
It will give better yields that way.
If I were you after 2 or 3 days I'd just fill the bag up with water for an over night dunk.
No fridge, cold temperatures don't induce pinning, that is a myth.
After the dunk I would crumble it into a nice glass dish and case.
The more surface area the better as long as the crumbled layer isn't any thinner than a half inch.

Do you have a fruiting chamber?
If not you can just fruit the dish in a garbage bag.

okay thanks alot . i'll do the dunk after a couple more days. care to elaborate any more on your fruiting technique?

I wouldn't dunk that. How many quarts of spawn is in that bag do you remember? You could break it up and case the grain straight but I would spawn that to some sort of bulk substrate. Hpoo is the best but coco coir works well too.

Oh I thought it was like a half quart of brf by the looks of it.
You sure thats enough spawn to go bulk?

you are correct . i dont know what i was thinking. def not enough spawn for that . you think i should just dunk the thing over night and than case with verm in a couple days. i really have no idea what i should do. basically i need something simple and easy to do where as i cannot fuckit up.

Now that I look at it closer you may be right. Scale is so hard to tell. I thought it was one of those pre-sterilized rye bags. What is the substrate in that bag?

Hopefully canndo drops in. He can probably tell you what to do better than I could. Even simply spreading it out in a tray and casing the grain with some coir or something would be better than just leaving it in the bag like that.

Sonar had the right idea, you could probably scale the bulk substrate down to like the size of a tray or container.

Its pretty hard to fuck up now because your grain/brf whatever it is, is already colonized,
If its grain what sonar said above would work out pretty nice.

If its brf, dunking before hand would be beneficial because the whole thing is likely to fall apart if you try to dunk later.
After the dunk you could just break it up into a dish and wait 3-5 days for it to reform and then put it in the fc(casing it if you like)
or you could just crumble it on a plate and case it with coir/verm/ or something.

As stated in the previous posts. You could just scale everything down to your needs. You can check your local dollar store for smaller sized plastic pans if you need them. Then use a larger tote box for the housing/Fruiting chamber.

thanks to all . i'll go out and buy some perlite some plastic tupperware and some verm tom. it is receiving12/ 12 light right now in the bag . should i put back in darkness after i case it? and it is brf bag.
