Quick question on this. I have been reading up on dry blood, after I have given my plants 2 doses and found this info. The dried blood I bought (and every brand around my house) is 12% insoluble Nitrogen. Only like .5% (maybe less, I found some people claiming .36) of the shit is water soluble and max potency takes 7 days, I waited 3. Now my plants did look noticeably better the next couple days following the first dose so it did work to some extent. I did read that it helps soil quite a bit as the 11% that does not dissolve in the water is stored in the soil and used as time goes on.
i think you have a good grasp of it...
from what ive read its best to put it in the soil before planting/transplanting. also you should see faster results with a couple foliar feedings.

He's growing in soilless media (perlite I think) so he can't really put it in the soil :D Foliar feeding is a good way to get them a good dose of what they need too. Good looking out rzza

Just get a hydro setup lol don't know if funds or space are the issue, but you can get a basic flood & drain table like I have for about 150-200 dollars whole setup, really not a huge investment. Just use a sterilite container for a rez, grab a 350 gph pump, and decent air pump and stones. I odered my tray for bout 70 and then built my table out of 2x4s for about 25 bucks. I've found that f&d works much better for me then drain2waste setups because the nutrient levels are more consistent and you get more watering in. I don't have the time to water 3x a day by hand. In d2w setups the nutrient levels can be all over the place if you aren't measuring runoff and adjusting nutrient input accordingly. Just my 2cp, 200 or less I'm sure you could have a really nice setup!

Yeah that's the thing I cant tell how much I'm using if I use it as a foilar spray. If I shake it, the mixture looks dissolved for a couple minutes before settling. Thanks for the info guys, greatly appreciated.

you must be just putting the blood into the water? you should filter it to a tea:)

No I put the blood in a tea bag and let it soak for numerous days. Do you boil it? I couldn't imagine the fucking smell of that shit boiling in my house, it stinks pretty good after sitting 3-4 days..

I personally would use that Nectar Nitrogen myself. That looks like what you are needing for your plants. It also looks like you could use it to foliar feed them.. Looking forward to things getting better man

Thanks man, I saw that when I was about to start my grow and almost bought it, I think it would be easier to supplement to my plants as it seems like it will have a N deficiency in the beginning stages of the Lucas Formula, at least for autos it seems.

I will do something like that eventually. I bought some natures nector today and will be giving them a dose of it tonight.

The Pineapple Chunk sprouted yesterday.

Ok well I just typed a shit load out and lost it to the 505 error... Well what I basically said was good job at getting the N I suggested. Are you planning on foliar feeding also? If you do foliar you should use 1/10 of the suggested usage. I hope they start getting their lush green back man they always look best like that :D

Murfy, I read almost that entire thread, some good info. So do those people that foilar feed everyday never feed via the roots? It seems like I foilar feed when I am having a deficiency (which has been the entire grow). I also foilar feed my seedlings and transplants as the roots have not made it down to the res yet.

Plants look MUCH MUCH MUCH better this morning, I didnt have time to take pics but fuck they were looking nice. I also trimmed all the yellow dying leaves, which was only a couple on the bottom. Ill post pics once I have some time.
