@rory420420 Good pic and surf pun. You are like a poet without being so emo, ha ha. Thanks for dropping by and resurrecting my thread.

I'll finish the updates pretty quick. I've been really busy. I'm even working right now. OH THE HUMANITY TO BE WORKING ON A SUNDAY, WOE IS ME and stuff like that.

Everything is cut down and some has been sampled. I've got an early smoke report and final pics too.

So yeah, I'm a bit of a jerk. First I don't even respond to @rory420420 's post and then I don't finish my journal in a timely manner.... some kids' parents, geez. I know this is way overdo to finish. I've actually only have 2 plants left of the Bodhi testers for my 3rd round with them, but better waaaay late than never I guess. Not like anybody is holding their breath over this or anything.

I will say these plants turned out great; all of them. And I'll go into more detail on the next post. If Bodhi releases these though, anybody would be happy with them I believe. I'm going to be keeping 1 of the Sky Pipes, 1 of the Harlequin BX (not a tester) and I haven't decided at all yet on the Jam Goji's, but at least 1 or 2.

One with some pics. These were taken close to chopping time.

Here's a bud shot of one of the Jam Goji's

Sky Pipe #2. Those little webs are not from spider mites, just spiders. They're my little partners in the garden.

This wasn't a Bodhi tester, but a nice surprise though. It was a single freebie Mango seed from Blimburn Seeds and it's great. It really does smell like mangoes and other tropical fruits and has a nice mellow high to it. It's been well received and I'm keeping it around for awhile at least.

So here's basically what I wrote to Bodhi about the Jam Gojis with some slight additions and edits added:

The smell is great, but hard to pin down. I'll have to go through each one and take better notes of scent and taste, but they are all pretty similar in that area too. The smell is complex and there's a bunch of underlying aromas. I get kind of a lemony, creamy, sweet butter smell and maybe slight chemical/astringent funk undertones with some definite fruitiness; one friend said over-ripe guavas. *Added later: With some curing time some coffee and berry smell seemed to come out. It's great overall. I could smell it all day.

I still haven't gotten the tally for the yield yet (still trimming), but from eyeballing it I'd guess it's somewhat below average which unfortunately could be due to grower error with too much nitrogen in the soil for their liking and like I said, I don't really know yet until everything gets trimmed up. I took clones of everything so I'll know better on the next round. *Edit: The second round produced much better. I believe the soil may have been a bit too rich with the first round. The second round produced average to above average. I was happy with it.

The bag appeal is very good, nicely frosted. I don't care about bud density at all, but I'm aware that there are a lot of people who seem to think dense bud equals quality for some reason (obviously they have never smoke a loose flower sativa strain that put them in a different part of the galaxy, ha ha) so I'll add that the bud density is a little more than medium dense, if that makes sense. They're not loose, but not rocks either. Probably about a 5 on a scale of 1-10 if 10 is rocks. I think it's a very good density.

The effect from what I've tried so far is really great. Pretty much my favorite kind of high. Very clear headed, functional, uplifting sativa high with no paranoia that doesn't slow me down at all; top-notch in the high department. The potency is very good. Pretty much everything grown here ends up potent and these are as good as everything I smoke here. One hit is all most people would need. I haven't over indulged in sampling it, but thus far it hasn't been overwhelming like some sativa type high strains can turn into if you smoke more than you need. I need to do more research in that department though, ha ha.

Overall in regards to quality of flowers, bag appeal, aroma, effect, and handling some crappy weather I'd say they are great in all those aspects. Yield and handling nitrogen rich soil MAY be the the areas where they're lacking. The people that have tried it so far love it and I'm a happy fan of it myself.

I'll continue on about the Sky Pipe in the next post.......

Here's basically what I wrote to Bodhi about the Sky Pipes with some additions and edits added:

The smell is very nice on all 3, but the #1 pheno (the stocky Christmas tree one) takes the cake. It reeks. I can smell it 50 ft. away outside when it's getting trimmed up inside (with the windows open) and when it was growing out in the open could literally smell it from up to 80 ft. away. I put an ounce in one patient's car trunk and after a minute there was no hiding it, ha ha, he decided not to make any stops on the way home. It has a predominantly lemon-lime smell with some underlying funk that's hard for me to pin down too. It reminds me of Lemon Pinesol. The #2 and #3 phenos have a lighter scent and I'll recheck, but as far as I can remember they both have a lemon or lemon-lime smell. *Edit: the Sky Pipe #3 also had a very strong smell, but not like the #1 pheno.

The taste on the #1 pheno is lemon and pine mostly. It's very nice. I haven't got to try the other two yet. *Edit: my sense of taste isn't very good at all so if I can taste it at all then it has to be some strong tasting stuff. Even then, I usually have to ask friends to let me know, but I forgot to ask them specifics, however, I know the #2 pheno (the super frosty one) was said to be super "tasty" by a couple of my friends that tried it. I assume the #3 pheno had good taste too, but I forgot to ask about it.

I haven't got the total tally yet for this one, but from eyeballing I'd guess the yield is a decent bit above average. I think someone could get some real decent weight off of these. Our winters are still great for growing outdoors, but the yield is about a quarter of full summer growing. The #1 and #2 phenos look like real good yielders. The #3 pheno is probably about average or slightly above average. *Edit: The #1 and #3 phenos had denser flowers and yielded better, but the #2 pheno wasn't shabby either.

The bag appeal is good on all three, but the #2 pheno (the lanky one) is the definite winner. It looks like it's rolled in sugar. It's probably the frostiest strain I've grown. And the bud density is good too for what the average consumer is looking for. I'd say about a 6 or 7 on a 1-10 scale.

I've only got to smoke the #1 pheno so far, but the effect is also great. It's got a good clear headed, functional high without paranoia too, like the JamGoji's, but it's mellow. I read one of your descriptions for your strains that said, "it'll put some dip in you hip and some slide in your stride" and I'd say that's accurate for this one too. I haven't been in too much pain lately, but I'd guess it would be a good strain for pain relief. It has a nice floaty body feel to it. *Edit: The #2 pheno is super potent and more stoney. It's good relaxation weed, not so good for work if you have to stay active like I do. They were all very good potency, but the #2 pheno took the prized in this area.

Overall I'd say these SkyPipes check all the boxes growers look for. Very good yield, mold resistance, aroma, taste (for the one I tried anyway), bag appeal, effect, etc. The #1 pheno is definitely going to be in my garden for a long time. The #2 pheno is making the cut too for now because it's soooo frosty and looks to be a good yielder with a nice smell. I don't know about the #3 sticking around, but it's a good plant nonetheless which I'm happy to have. Everybody that has tried the #1 pheno has really loved it also.

I should also mention neither strain attracted bugs anymore than what's normal for my area. I've had strains that were bug magnets and these weren't.

And when I mentioned everybody liking both strains what I meant was, they have been instant hits/favorites with patients. I've got good compliments either through word or action. A friend of mine who's visiting from Oregon and is an everyday smoker who has some good grower friends tried the Jam x Goji and said it was the best weed she's ever smoked. Another friend of mine who deals exclusively with indoor product got two ounces this week for his own personal stash, donating a decent amount more than he does for his indoor supply and all that in spite of having a virtually unlimited supply of indoor product. He said it's some great stuff. Just FYI, the donation price was the normal price for here for top-shelf stuff; he just gets a really great deal on his indoor stuff.

So that's pretty much it. They're great strains. I'm very happy to have got to test them out and they are continually performing better each round as I've gotten more understanding of how not to piss them off. I don't know who wouldn't be happy with these strains if Bodhi releases them, they'll be in my garden for a long time.

On a side note, the Harlequin BX is really great too. It's been really hard for me to keep up with the demand for it. I figured I was going to be growing it for charity for medical patients with severe and chronic conditions because I thought it was going to suck honestly. I kept thinking it was going to be glorified hemp, but I was waaaay wrong. It's a great strain for anybody in my opinion. I enjoy it a lot and so has everyone who's tried it. If Bodhi drops any of these packs in the future I would recommend snagging some. You won't be disappointed, unless you're just a weirdo with bad taste for cannabis.

If anybody has any questions feel free to fire away and I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks for the compliments brah. It wasn't my best run, but the flowers still turned out great.

Big Island is cool. There's lots of cheap land and some great growing areas and it's real chillaxed for the most part. It's got its downsides too though, like everywhere else.

From which breeder? I got mine from Bodhi. It's the best strain I've had yet for pain and it still gets me high too, but the high doesn't last for more than an hour to an hour and a half or so and I think it makes me more tolerant to normal THC strains if I smoke some after the Harlequin BX, BUT if you need a good pain killer than it does the job. I injured my back at work a couple times over the past five years and sometimes it'll act up to the point that I have a hard time doing anything besides lying down and the Harlequin BX has been some miracle medicine for me. I started smoking it regularly a few weeks ago and haven't had hardly any back pain since and what back pain I have had has been minor. I think Great Lakes Genetics had some good high CBD strains from Bodhi you can choose as freebies, but I'd email them to make sure.

Probably will grab Gage's rendition of it, though if I see Bodhis BX turn back up anywhere I will grab a pack of his. I have a couple Greenman Organics (Copper Rhino & Black Rhino) which are supposed to be good for pain and the CR is a High CBD Pennywise cross. I am interested to have a few higher CBD ratios or even 1:1 ratios etc for a few mates who have advanced arthritis

Where did OGK and the Cheese come from? They do extremely well here.
Cheese is a phenotype of Skunk #1 which is a super legendary strain and is made up of Afghanistan x Mexican x Colombian genetics. And supposedly OG Kush is Chemdawg x (Lemon Thai x Pakistan Kush) but nobody really knows apparently. Adam Dunn has a 2 hour show about the history of OG Kush, but I haven't watched it/listened to it. It's probably got some good info.
