Sorry to be slacking on the journal, but I've been stupid busy with work. This is supposed to be my slow season, the perfect time to test seeds and do a grow journal, but nooooo, everybody and their mother is putting me to work. Nothing to complain about though, it's good to be working, but I'd like a little more time in the garden. Anyway, I snapped some quick pics a few days ago and should have a full update worth of pics tomorrow. It's been raining heavy the last 3 days. I don't know how much rain we got, but it was at least 12". My garden cart and wheelbarrow were full and flowing over. It looks like everything is handling pretty well so far. I found a couple spots of rot today, but it's minor so far and the clones from the plants are rooted and seem to be happily doing their thing.

Here's a few sneak preview pics :)

These were from about a week and a half ago I thinkWP_20150225_004.jpgWP_20150302_002.jpg WP_20150302_004.jpg
And these were from a few days ago or so. It's a couple of the Jam Goji's.

Gogi is an impressive strain.

Super cool pics TWS, I dig 'em brah. I assume the outdoor scrog is to keep it below the fence line? Or do you get better yields like that? What kind of aromas and effect did you get from the Gojis?

The Scrog was mainly for fun but yes it was to help with staying below the fence line. That plant was huge and would of yield either way but would of been fighting it to stay below the fence if it wasn't scrogged.
The Gogi was two seasons ago, I think the smell was of berries, cherries and pinesol. I still have a pack of gogi's I will have to venture back to.

Happy growing.

We've been getting a lot of rain in the past week. This weather is definitely going to put these plants' mold resistance to the test. Our current humidity where I live has been staying over 90% too so that doesnt help very much. Otherwise, I think the plants are developing nicely. I guess they have another two weeks. Hopefully the weather will cooperate a little in the next couple weeks. These pics were taken a few days ago.

All of the Jam Gojis have a similar scent. The predominant scents are kind of a rotten guava, sweet cream with a skunky undertone; they smell amazing.

Jam Goji #1 probably has the strongest smell and I think it's the frostiest so far. It's vying for a keeper spot with number #3.

Jam Goji #2 looks like it'll yield the least, but the center stalk was snapped in the last tropical storm we had (notice the blue painter's tape bandage) so that might have affected the yield some.

Jam Goji #3 smells a little skunkier than the other plants, but still has a lovely rotten guava sweet cream smell too, it's not as pronounced though. She also looks like she'll yield the best.

Here's Sky Pipe #1. I like it's stocky structure and it looks like it will yield well for this time of year. It smells pretty much exactly like lemon Pinesol with a more astringent bite. Really great smell.

it's been really wet so some bud mold has started, but I'm hoping to keep it at bay until finish. The weather is supposed to dry up in a couple days.

I took these shots today of the SkyPipe while I was cutting out bud mold and noticed a couple things I've never seen before. I'm assuming they're nanners, but I haven't grown any plants that developed nanners before so I'm not sure. Any info is helpful. There's a couple little banana looking things growing out near the top cola. You can see them pretty clear in these photos.

You can see some of the bud rot also in this photo.

Hey rik nice garden. Definitely got yourself some nanners. I had a couple just like these pop up at the end of my last grow. I read it isn't uncommon for some strains to throw a couple nanners at the very end of flowering. Mine actually didn't even make pollen so no harm was done. I just let them finish out like normal. Looks good, good luck.

Right on, thanks for the compliment, the well wishes and the help werm. I've read nanners are fairly common with some strains too, but it's a first for me. I guess I'll just pull them as they come.

What's the make up of skypipe?
Lot of og strains get nanners, usually at the base of the buds. Sometimes cloning a time or 2 knocks this tendency out.. I got a nanner here and there with my Lt x ogjoe but after a clone, they went away..contrary,I cloned my blackwater tons and still got them...
Looking good bro!!..rain always sucks, too much or too little...

Hey Rory, the makeup is Skywalker OG X Pipeline. The Pipeline is a locally bred Hawaiian strain that I don't know about, but it's a sister plant to a strain here called Blood Weed which was really popular and probably still is pretty popular.

I've read that cloning can knock the hermie trait out of certain strains; thanks for the confirmation. What's the "Lt" stand for in "Lt x ogjoe"?

Fortunately, the rain stopped and we've have perfect finishing weather for the past two days and the weather forecast says we shouldn't be getting too much rain for the rest of the week which is cool because the SkyPipe looks like it could be done this week. The Jamaican X Goji Og's look like they have at least a couple more weeks I'd guess.

Alright, sorry for the delay, but we had some nice ones of these while I was on hiatus

WP_20150313_009.jpg

Anyway, I took a bunch of pics and I'll do my best to pick the best ones out and will probably load a good portion as thumbnails so I don't make this page a mile long. The Jam Goji's and and the SkyPipe #1 all had the tops finishing up at 9.5 weeks so I started sectional harvesting. I took some then and at 10 weeks and I'm going to hopefully stretch this out to at least 11 weeks to get a good idea of ideal harvest time. They just past ten weeks yesterday or the day before.

I did get to sample some of the Jam Goji from a bud I cut off about a week and a half ago. I didn't really take note of the smell and my sense of taste is wanting (I have friends who can give me their input for that), I did however get nice and familiar with the high; I smoked it all day today in fact. It was from one plant and I don't remember which one it was, but it's very nice. It has a very nice clean sativa head high with a kind of heavy cozy blanket over the brain feel and adds some lightness to the body. Very good functional day-time smoke without any paranoia at all and a general sense of well being and get stuff done feel. Pretty much my favorite type of high so in my bias-ness I'd give it an A in the high department.

So on with the pics. I'll follow each plant pic with corresponding bud shots:
