Impman just shut up and listen, you should be happy people are still trying to help you:).... where I am the low at night is in the high 70s low 80s I turn my AC off at night so my plants too only have a degree or so difference. I keep my flowering room at 78....... last ones were chopped at 22 weeks, might be a little longer than supposed too but they finished wonderfully (I grow landrace only so that's why so long) but yea they finish fine

4 months flowering time? ouch. I have to make a little money to cover the light bill. at 4 months my $ per gram would drop too much for me. When I can afford to grow landrace sativa then I will for sure. I can't pull enough weight to make it worth it. not enough skillz.
You, qwizoking, don't think it is weird you are so opposed to the idea of thermoperiodism? There are so many good article from REAL horticulturist. It is the BUSINESS. I think you are mad about it

Wherever you are on this amazing planet we call Earth, there is a rule of thumb, when the sun goes down, it gets cooler. There is no natural place on earth where the moon is warmer than the sun. And here you go arguing for days and weeks that marijuana is NOT thermoperiodic.... there is also NO sativa that naturally flowers at 4 months and 2 weeks. you are doing something wrong. do you have pics of your landrace? it finished beautifully so you must have some great 4 month and 2 week nug porn

SO, In my SEALED room, Which I have COMPLETE control of the environment, i have been able to try different things. I used to go in every morning and bump the a/c down to 68, then up to 78 when lights are on, When on,My room runs at 82. After some plants started to spit nanners that had never nannered before, I set the a/c @ 78 and left it there, So now when off it's 78 and 82 when on. Got way better results and at least 85% less nanners. I also dumped those strains after testing, just don't want hermies.

I don't think its not real.. I don't claim to be some botanist...I've never read any book. Everything I know is based on experience.. colder nights may improve the overall health or maturity idk but it can be done.... and yes land races can be very disheartening I've flowered for 6 months before, but its worth it for the incredible high. Not to mention landrace sativas are almost odorless. I have a perpetual grow with 16 at a time and don't have any carbon scrubbers etc..and they average 4ft or so , so not just little solo cups.. so no smell( mango or honeysuckle sometimes lavender buds after cure) and the fact that no matter how much you smoke even if you've been smoking indica and so burnt out, it'll pick you right up..adrenaline rush psychedelic goodness.....
Why don't you think landrace sativas flower that long. I've seen a variety that flowered continuously Google it

Sage is one such sativa that takes 3 to as long as four months. Indicas flower in 60 days or less. This all depends on genetics. Imp man I would suggest a environment thermostat here is the link. Might even find one for less on eBay. http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server2900/b3ad7/products/66/images/156/TMP-1-600__24559.1308596030.1280.1280.jpg This would ultimately solve your worries on the electric bill. As well as any temperature issues. The ac will only kick on at the temp you set.

But this is the bad boy I want.GroBot_Evolution__05948.1341593525.220.220.jpg

Heat has been a big factor for me aswell. During the eve my temps have been running on the high end of 78 to 79*. During the night it drops down to 70 to 74*, mind you that's with a 10,000 btu aircondtioner going at all times, and 2 fans, one being in the veg room, and the other in the flowering room. I just make sure to keep them watered more so then I have been during flowering, and they seem to be doing just fine. ;)

That is because the moon doesn't give off any heat. lol

You said the plants needed a 20-30 degree drop at night, and THAT is simply not true. My temps only drop 10 degrees at night/lights off.

I think that as long as the plants don't have to deal with excessive heat all the time, that they do just fine! Now, if they had to deal with heat that gets up round 95 to over 100* during the night & day, that would just be way to hot 4 most strains. Don't get me wrong, there is some strains that can deal with hotter temps, like afgany strains, and a few others that is use to growing in that enviroment.

dropping your temps 10 degrees is excellent! that is called Thermoperiodism.. You are here to troll AND you are learning something. good job. you get a B +. You will get the A when you see the amazing difference when you drop another 10 degrees at night. Fatter buds, more frost...
