Looking at COBs

Really eh. The benefits in the electrical bill aren’t that significant? I always thought they would be. I always considered my 400 watt MH a guzzler.

Maybe I convert and run something serious for the veg and keep the MH for the time being for flower then. Cause I will need another light regardless. I only have one. So when my girls want to flower will need a second light. May as well use the MH for that and put some sort of LED in the veg tent
How many tents do you have? Or what are your grow spaces?

I’m running two tents. 3x3 on both. About 5.5 inches tall. I intend to flower 2 at a time in 5 gallons. And hold 2 mothers and veg two out in the veg tent.

I just started from seed. First time in over 8 years. Seedlings haven’t fully emerged out of the soil yet.

400w of true draw from the wall is 400w regardless of the source!

That’s not a bad price at all for that light. I may consider that one for my tent. The $115 one, not timber is what I’m referring to.

Think I may be able to get away with one for my vegging?
The diodes in that light are also 17 year old technology. Slug LEDs. It's not expensive to get good LEDs, but not that cheap.

Good priced boards. Good priced drivers. Wires are things I got no idea about. But if I buy all from that company I’m still looking at about 150 for a 120watt light. Seems kinda terrible. I need more power to begin with as well for my 3x3 tent. Could work for veg but flower. But then after the conversion rate I may have well just bought a set up from HLG Canada. Unless I can get cheap boards and drivers in Canada.

Are you able to find the 135 watt kit from a third party company like growerlights.com, or another company. I'm not sure how that works being in Canada.

I know HLG Canada is sold out of the 135 watt kit. They sell it for $220 CDN. I have not seen it for sale on any third party sites in Canada. I don’t want to order from USA. The conversion rate and duties will kill me.
