Led Users Unite!

Another thing I forgot to add:

When a led grow light company says my favorite line: "I cannot give specific details on the leds we use(bin#/manufacturer/NOT NM is what I ask) because we have spent a long time RESEARCHING and PERFECTING our UNIQUE spectrum and don't want others copying it".........lol means the same shit===JUNK

they know damn well with google pics you can check the validity of their claims of high quality leds........Also why would Hans led/ area 51/ plant photonics/rhinogrow/california lightworks/Fero/illumitex == tell you the exact info(bin#/manufacturer) the others wont because they use REAL QUALITY leds and are proud of it......

BTW I ran out of weed.............sorry for the rant:P
can't run out of green, bro! gotta have a stock pile or security jar or somethin'....

anyway, just read this, thought you might be interested in the first hand account: http://ledbudguy.com/showthread.php/6607-Supergrow-broad-spectrum-led-VS.-Blackstar-240-Watt-6-Band

we'll see what i can get...right now i need to stop leaving the house for 4 days at a time and almost killing my plants.

Just wanted to share. I got the 240w Hydro blackstar and that thing is awesome. I use it in my closet to veg my plants along with a few smaller 45w glow panels I bought. If I had to do it all over again I would have skipped buying the smaller LED's and bought another 240w or went with like a 500w. Ill post some pics later

Well bridgelux is an American company with their main headquarters in the USA but have many plants (?) in China. I checked the list and don't see Cidly Shenzhen Cidly Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. listed.

http://bridgelux.com/contact/services.html

Anyway..I emailed Bridgelux and I will respond here with their reply if Cidly actually uses their LED's.

Here's the kit I'm looking to get..it's all solderless LED's and very easy to put together. See video at bottom.

I'l be using the bigger heatsink 6"x20" and will put 24 LED's on each heatsink. You can also custom pick your LED's and they are located in the USA.

Their email replies have been quick and very helpful so I'm leaning towards Rapid but hey you never know.

It was mentioned that Cidly uses Bridgelux LED's so I emailed Bridgelux to get the scoop. Well Bridgelux never responded to my email and it's been over a week.

I'm running two 200W Solar Storms (California Light Works) in my 3x3 tent. I'd like a little extra light in the back corners. Are those LED spotlights any good?

I liked the results of the LED's on my little 45w glow panels so much that I stepped up to the 240 and the results were amazing. Ive got 4 plants in about a 4x2 area at 20/4 hrs and they grow like they're on stereoids.

My cheapish eBay light for my cabinet
https://www.rollitup.org/stealth-micro-cab-growing/609844-cab-dwc-grow-130w-cfl-3.html#post8602565

Ignore the rest of my thread aside from that post, the amount of times I've changed my mind from DWC to soil to CFL to HPS to finally LED is silly.

This is the claimed LED lights included in mine allegedly
112x1w LEDs -
620-630nm and 660nm of red, 450/460nm and 460/470nm of blue wavelength

Altho in my small user manual they also mentioned orange... So I'll see how the light plays out

Out of curiosity, what quality LED grow light is less than $1.00 per watt. I am assuming actual draw not LED watts.

There actually are quite a few, having tried a bunch of leds, 2012/2013 led are changing the game. They grow big for less then 1 dollar a watt. I got a couple tents going, but had to post a picture real quick after reading that. Think, cause I just smoked my trimming resin ball from scissors, made me get up to get camera to prove point, :) .

That's from china leds less then 1 dollar a watt. Buds are about to swell up now. Going to start feeding the koolbloom finisher. I paid 125 shipped each light, total draw is 150w, so that should be close to 125w of pure led.

Should of took more pictures, but you can tell the size.

Put a bulb in there for size compare. Closest thing I had next to me.

These plants are about 4ft tall.

I think with all the miss information, I need to make a website and sell some china lights to people to close to cost as I can get. Then we will have a few more people arguing how there are lights that can grow and you dont have to pay 3-5 dollars a watt to do it. My stoner ass just might do that, but I will start a grow soon showcasing my fav china lights I've finished with so far.
Cute dog for real, heres mine, finish chewing on a freshly cut stem, passed out snoring haha. Got 2 other pitbulls, love dogs.

Anyway, I do like those blackdog led, want to try it one day, but it doesn't fit my tent/tote area perfect how I like. But, they are some of the strongest lights.

Oh, and thanks for the dog compliment. He is a pit/lab mix. Just about the perfect dog, if there ever was one. ;-)
Why perfect , he loves (lab) to fuck (PB) with you? lol

Just kidding, I know plenty of very loving PBs, but they are so strong, they can love you to death

I have a just under a 3' by 1.5' grow area. I have one Blackstar240. It does great in the area I have, but I have a very small area to work with.

I have never owned HID lights, so I will not be able to tell you for sure; not even done with my first harvest under LED's. But from what I have read, LED's will probably yield a little less. If you wanted the same results you will need to drop some $. From what people say about their lights on here, I would go with an Area 51 LED or a BlackDog. I like my LED ( BlackStar 240 ) because of the amount of heat it puts out, which is practically none, and the cost of it. I have no room for ventilation for an HID light. But I can say that my plants are absolutely loving the LED light. The new growth is a light green color, with all the old growth staying a nice dark green.

Well, I am about at the end of my journey with my firs time usage of LED's and boy am I happy. Pics will be coming soon, I ran the advanced LED blueveg and 800 w extreme flower. 12 beatiful females , 8 white widow and 4 Vaniila kush. They thrived , words cannot express how they have and are thriving. Like I said I will post pics soon, they are 4 weeks in to flowering and devleoping fat colas. The LED's are no joke and I saved tons of money in Electrcity as well as nutes and water (which is more of a time saver) due to the lack of heat they put off. Pics to come. LED users UNITE

Will the blackstar work for budding them to?

Here are a couple pics. I only have one flowering plant right now, which is just bag seed unfortunately. The first pic is a little more than a week ago, the second one is recent ( 4 weeks into flowering ). Keep in mind my plants are not quite on the same level as some other people who post on here. She is smelling great though, leaves a nice fruity smell on my microscope. I was using CFL's before my BlackStar, and halfway through my buds are already as big as they were with the CFL's.
