I'm all about output for per dollar when looking at about a 2 year use period. I think 90% of us are buying a more expensive product that won't pay for itself.

These are my current choice: Link
Every single situation is different...EVERY one. I have poured over calculations till my brain hurts, sometimes, cost isn't the end all be all....sometimes a space won't permit it either or situation, that's why real world calcs are tough....

I am using Bridgelux Vero's, Cree 3070''s and soon some 630 Osram's.

I wanna share something too, because of the lumens, look how they can be skewed....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I currently run 108w's of Cree/Phillips LightBulbs 2.7k/35/5k mix.....averaging about 28% efficiency is roughly 29 PAR watts. With around 8800 lumens in 3.5 sq ft.

My new DIY build is going to be roughly 89 watts, roughly averagng about 46% efficiency at around 41 PAR watts and roughly 13,200 lumens.

So a decrease of wattage by 21%, an increase in PAR wattage by 41% and increase in lumens by over 60%.....

Just something to show
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only brainwashing is listening to someone with incorrect data. Most here, have given much, that has been eschewed....eh to y'all, if you fall into that crowd....

I bought more yesterday, so didn't see they removed it, there are other sellers at a slightly higher cost. I'm guessing they resisted for a few bucks more, let me look...
What drivers are you using? And what type of cooling you are gonna use?

A combo of 100w drivers and 400w drivers. Cooling is handled by them being mounted onto a large aluminum rack with air moving across it from a wall fan and the exhaust fan. If I choose to run in the summer I will install water cooling with a radiator in the garage. I already asked a buddy to be on the lookout for scrap motorcycle radiators.

You run them at 2/3rds rated wattage and get better efficiency.

They seem to have taken away the sort by price per piece option on Aliexpress so finding the best price on them is a bitch. Just search 30w led chip and exclude 10w from the search. You will see a bunch, but they have 10-100w, I choose 30w because it's easier to get optimal distribution at that size or smaller.

Pics please. I call bullshit and what drivers? and how many amps? how are you gonna wire them? in series or parallel?

You will have to wait on pics. Building out my setup after moving, adding in CMH for the bigger room at the new place and a whole new 1400w LED + CMH for a second room. I have yet to receive the CMH fixtures. Once they arrive I will finish the build and take pics. Also will be waiting on the new LEDs for the second room.

Why those drivers? Do you know they work with the COB's you bought? I'm using Mean Well HLG-185H-C700A waterproof and very power efficient. I'll wait and see. My drivers only go up to 286 forward volts.

Running in parallel, yes they work, have run on them for one run before moving. I'm using my setup as my heater, so efficiency wasn't a top priority, I honestly have no idea how efficient they are. The lights put out about 105lm/watt when powered at 2/3. Making them beat Cree COB in a cost comparison until we get to about 5 years out to recoup the cost difference. By then I'm planning to upgrade, all the LEDs available now will be a joke in 3 years anyway.

One thing that really gets me is I can't find a cool white/6500k in the COB that you guys favor. That is a killer for me. I won't run a setup without a mix of spectrums targeting flower, veg/stock, and resin. You need some cool/6500k light even in flower for best/biggest results. There are other Cree options that cover these spectrums if you are stuck on the higher cost higher efficiency option.

BTW, they must have been editing the listing or something because it shows available again now

Also FYI, the specs they have listed in that listing are a mash up of the 50w version and the 30w version. Look at the grid where they list all the sizes for the accurate spec details.

You are right it's back up but a 39 day wait for shipping after payment is processed.

Glad mine already shipped then.

Nevermind, that is just with that shipping option silly.

epacket is cheap and usually arrives within 10 days for me. Post is slow as shit.

CXA3070 6500K BB bin. Minimum order of 20 but may be able to find them elsewhere

I use straight 3000K in flower for most of the modules. It has 13-14% of its output in the 450nm blue range. That should be plenty for most varieties.
