Hey folks here’s the @MarsHydrofactory FC-3000 unboxing and setup.

I would firstly like to say that this light is far simpler than I thought LED panels were going to be as far as setup is concerned.

The box and everything that’s inside.

4 LED panels

Driver and controller pre mounted on bracket.

2 side panels for connecting the LED panels

Extra long power cable so you can externally mount the driver

IEC kettle Lead U.K. plug

Bag of butterfly screws, Eye hook screws, washers, steel hanging cables and rubber end caps for the side panels.

A set of Ratchet hanging pulleys.

some stickers and a user manual.

after reading the first couple of instructions it was pretty clear what needed to happen.

yes that’s right I put it together. Lol.

BUT……

I put it together with the side panels the wrong way round lol.

which meant @MarsHydrofactory logos were not visible on the outside.

as you’ll see I remedied the situation once I noticed lol.

butterfly screws attach the LED panels to the side panels.

In those side panels are some press in nuts that can be moved, so make sure you space out the LED’s accordingly and secure them once you’re happy with the position.

add the eye screws with washers to the moveable plates sitting in the side panels and then connect the steel hanging hooks to the eyes.

add your driver to the centre LED’s and screw the little feet into the side holes on the driver bracket, this is to create a firm grip for the driver to sit on top or alternatively mount it somewhere else using the long power cable that comes with it.

Now as a time served HPS grower I must say I like this sleek looking lighting rig.

even with the driver mounted to the light it’s still really light and can be picked up really easily.

within the next 7 days I will be setting this up in my grow area and using it start to finish by using the dimming function on the controller to start my next lot of plants.

I will be utilising 2-3 plants in a not quite 3x3ft scrog.

Some information about the light.

One thing I have noticed is that if you plan on mounting the Driver and Controller on top of the @MarsHydrofactory FC3000 You do have a lot of spare cable to tie up out of the way.

Would be really nice if @MarsHydrofactory included a smaller LED strip connection cable in the package along with a the extra long cable so that cable tidying was a whole lot easier.

As you can see i have installed the light and the ratchet pulleys.

next on my list is strip the entire room, tidy Up cable runs and clean the entire area before restarting.
