I will also say that in 2015, every Democratic Party Senator voted in favor of overturning Citizen's United and every Republican Senator voted to filibuster that bill and successfully stopped it. You can spin a fact free and cynical narrative how you like it. The facts show Democrats support campaign finance reform and Republicans don't.

It is naive to say that Republicans are the same as Democrats.
When Republicans have a majority they get things done.

When Democrats have a majority they bail out banks.

Some difference!

Yeah, some difference

Democrats in the 111th Congress enacted the ACA and an $840 billion economic stimulus package that helped bring us out of a Republican-caused economic depression.

Republicans the 115th Congress enacted a huge tax break for billionaires and shut down the government for a wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for.

People who looked into the differences between 111th Congress and the 115th agree that Republicans passed more bills but a lot of that volume was just rolling back Obama's work. I don't know why you keep touting Republicans as being so great. Still, I agree that if you want to vote for Republicans, you have the right to do so.

One has to go back 20 years to find a time when a Democratic President worked with a Republican Congress to balance the budget. So, yeah, I'm good with the President working with Congress to find an equitable way to balance the budget. The tail end of Clinton's Presidency were pretty good for working people. I also am nostalgic for an America where the worst scandal coming from our WH was due to a stained blue dress. Today it's a Republican President who sold his office to Putin and Republicans don't seem to care. But no matter.

Once he took office, George W cut taxes, increased spending and wiped out any chances of a balanced budget ever since. Also ignored growing financial shenanigans in the mortgage industry that sent the country into the worst recession since 1930. Aren't you just a little bit naive for ignoring that?

Then Trump and GOP Congress comes in. Trump simply magnified the damage after years of Obama whittling down the deficit by borrowing money from China to pay for a trillion dollar tax give-away to the wealthy. They fought hard to eliminate the ACA and destroy Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. They have shut down the government to fight for borrowing even more for a wall that would be a waste of money. No way Democrats would have done these things.

It's naive to say that Republicans are same as Democrats.
i think you may need to dial back the scandal comment otherwise i would agree with most of what you are saying. the fact is tho the clintons are cocain kingpins, and murderers. i mean if you are objective in the least i think you have to agree in hindsite this is true. also one look at the stock market at the times would tell you the working man was not the only one benefitting from the tech boom

none of that matters when everyone with any clue including all the democrats in congress know the way to balance the budget is let the president do his job and give him line item veto power. anything short of that is grandstanding to sucker ppl like you into thinking they have the budget issue on their radar. if they wanted to balance the budget they would do what the republican congress did when it was balanced. why re-invent the wheel?

LOL "mean if you are objective in the least i think you have to agree in hindsite this is true." Who is being subjective here? If one were being objective, one must admit that no crimes have been found in any of the many investigations Republicans mounted against the Clintons.

Trump's campaign conspired with Putin, that we can say for sure. You think Trump was not aware? A reasonable person would be skeptical of that. A reasonable person would wait for the conclusion of the Mueller investigation before concluding anything.

The shit you quoted were blatant false propaganda and lies about the Clintons. But you know what? Both are private citizens and what they do or say is a matter for law enforcement. You can't say they haven't been investigated. My god, how much money have Republicans wasted on Congressional investigations that never found any wrong doing by Hillary Clinton. Or Bill for that matter other than that stained blue dress and yes, he was impeached for actually lying to Congress about it. So, yeah he's guilty of cheating on his wife and he lied about it. I'll take that over treason but I'm not forgiving about Bill lying to the American people either.

But OK, I'll go with you on this. Using the same criteria you use to accuse the Clintons of being criminals. By that measure, Trump is a serial rapist, including raping children. Trump conspired with Russia to steal our election. Trump is guilty of menacing everybody and anybody who says anything bad about him, sending his goons to menace women in parking lots at health clubs for example. Trump is guilty of corruptly accepting money from foreign government. Trump is guilty of giving top secret information to Russia. Trump is guilty of conspiring to break campaign finance laws. The list goes on and on. I'm not saying all of this is proven and would pass muster in a court of law. I'm just saying that using your criteria for accusations, the crap you guys say about Clinton can be said about Trump many times over.

I'm waiting for the Mueller investigation to conclude before I'd go out on a limb like you do. Clinton has been investigated many times over, millions spent and hundreds of hours of Congressional committed time spent and in the end, nothing meaningful found. I don't think we will be able to say the same for Trump but I'll wait for the investigation to end. I'm not a breathy false conspiracy theorist like you are.

Would you at least try to spell and punctuate a little better. You sound like a Russian troll.

Trump signed off on a tax bill that created trillions of dollars in debt. Practically all the benefit went to a few people.

He shut down government because he wants to borrow more money on a tiny section of a fence that can't possibly "secure the border".

Trump didn't need a line item veto for the past two years. He is working with a Republican controlled Congress. Under him and the GOP Congress, National deficits have ballooned.Obama's government oversaw deficit reduction the last five years of his term in office. Trump and GOP reversed that. Point to me when a line item veto would have been used to reduce the deficit in the past two years? The problem is that Republicans are simply bad at running a government and good at extracting pork for themselves.

they support campaign finance reform like they support environmental causes. when it benefits them and only then. it's simply a platform that weakens their advesary, not one of moral highground

I keep bringing facts and you just talk out your ass.

I repeat. Only Democrats have voted to eliminate the CU. Republicans voted to stop them. This is irrefutable fact and votes are recorded in the Congressional record. As far as laws protecting the environment go, Democrats enacted laws and regulations that Trump and his GOP have worked to undermine or repeal. This is also fact and votes in Congress are available for everybody to review.

Yeah, Democrats have the high ground here. They earned it through their votes. This is fact. You bring nothing factual to this discussion. Be better.

idk why you think i'm defending reps. and as i said it is also irefutable if the dems wanted to balance the budget they would give a rep president or any president line item veto power. i mean is your argument my party is less evil? if so that is what they want ya know, an endless debate on who is worse while they all do whatever suits them and the 1%
