Interesting stuff (after I figured out that TW is Trainwreck ;0)

I checked and see NL as an IBL Afghan and TW to be a US Sat/Ind hybrid.

I have TW....suppose I need NL. :0)

The Train Wreck is a combination between Mexican, Afghani and Thai genetics.
http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Trainwreck/Homegrown_Fantaseeds/

AK-47

2nd place in the Best Sativa at the 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup
Sativa-dominant hybrid
Origin: Unnamed mix of Colombian, Mexican, Afghani and Thai genetic lines
Ak-47 is strong, sweet and fruity. It provides a balanced experience that is good for appetite stimulation and muscle relaxation.

Anyway I was wrong, NL isnt right after all.
I read many possibilities NL could be and some include Thai and afghani, but not mexican.
I think I was confusing it with AK, must be why JD mentioned this as a comparison to the Purp AK...
LOL, I saw AK and jumped!

It is good to hash these things out. I am only learning how to check
these things. I usually go right to seedfinder.eu Is that a decent reference?

Onward and upward,

I think that half the strain info (from any site) is false prolly or just guesses

Thanks team!

I grew that AK GD. It rocked. (it is the Crop #2 in my sig)

I have to admit that I smoke the Somango over the AK until the Somango was gone. :0)

I will be chopping the next plants in a few days. Hoo hoo!

Between the apps, various ceed banks, riu and growing out beans you can get a handle of how most genetics perform...
Java what do you look for in a smoke?i mean, what is your preference? I'm imagining fruity or berry flavor, with your like for somango...prefer couchlock or racy? I think diesels are pretty tasty..

me 2! i got a strong infactuation with diesels chems og kush; the whole family is very very seductive. that and the taste of petro/kerosine -- lemon/lime kushy funk(skunky earthy) stands out..its never a "i dont really taste anything" or a "it taste like weed?!!?!???" response, its more like a "taste sour" or "citrus like" or "pungent". i love to take responses without giving knowledge of what the strain is because i swear u can coax the though of tastes just from the words...you tell them its suppose to taste like fuel, they will tell you yea they kinda of taste it.

but yea any haze and any chemdog lineage is my shit.

Right on. Great stuff.

Honestly, I treat cannabis like women: I want to love them all.

LOL, but really while it is easy to recall "bad weed" (I am ooold)
I have enjoyed all the flavors so far.

When I can really tell where I have a preference is when I have
access to multiple breeds. I will notice that some go faster than
others.

I can say that I *love* the original Indica tastes that arrived on
the west coast in the late 70's. There was only one type, as far
as we knew (lol) and we called it "Skunk".

I get hints of that in most of my favorite buds, and I think that we
might be talking about the same thing.

Now, l want to be a connoisseur, and get to know "Cheese" and
the other "classic breeds" too.

It is a very fun game. :0)

Hey, can we make a list of these breeds. We can enjoy arguing about
where to draw the line when the list gets too big. (I expect that
this to be the case, as it becomes a matter of opinion).

Haze
Cheese
Skunk
Chem

I am already guessing, as many things derive from the Skunk, and so
having it on the list might be odd....but, then again, Haze was around before
Skunk.

Interesting stuff...I will Google this.

I thought that this list was interesting because it suggests both AK-47 and Somango.

(read the Somango reference....told you so! :0)

BTW: I checked the tricks and SWOG Kush and Headband will be next.

The anthers on the SWOG are more consistently matured than the Headband,
but the trichs do not lie.

Take care,

Somango
BREEDING: Super Skunk - Big Skunk Korean - Jack Herer

Indica: 75% Sativa: 25%
MINIMUM YIELD: 15-20 grams
FLOWERING: 9-10 weeks

I hope it yields more than that!

Javadog

Well-Known Member
LOL yeah minimum yield, if your mom finds your closet grow, is actually zero.

:0)

I did pretty well:

Boy, that coke can looks tiny! :0)

These were from clones that only got a couple weeks of Veg in the tent (and,
admittedly, a fair chunk in just getting started).

WAY more than 15 grams each.

Thanks Bass.

This was the first confirmed keeper that I have found so far.

I have one in a hempy bucket that got three months to completely
circle it's bucket and begin to grow out. It should rock, and will be
entering the tent ASAP.

In fact, I only have six plants in the tent right now, but they are all
so tall that I am going to wait to take the next two before I start moving
new plants into the tent.

I have not killed anything, but I have let a few breeds fade.
I have an ugly little Deadhead and Blue Cheese, but neither
of these was a real keeper.

Now Chem 4 OG, from my last grow, impressed me, and I have
several clones of it as well.

Take care,

JD

Many of you have countered my idea of making a platform for the tent
with the idea of putting the plants onto risers or a raised platform.

I admitted that this option had occurred to me, but that I was worried
about needing all of the headroom that my tent provides, and the fact
that I have almost two feet wasted between top of my tent and the ceiling
of the man-cave.

Well, I wanted to suggest you take a quick look at how ghb did just
as you are suggesting, and did a very good job of it.

...but the image will not link from here.

So, check out the first image of this post:

You can see the alight tilt of his table. I am going to ask if he has a write
up of the building of this thing.

Take care,

this is exactly what we have been desribing all along,,,,,,its a drain to waste table,,,,have you not seen one before??

to make it more effective some people use the nute sol catched in the bucket / res re-circulated and pumpmed back over the girls,,,the recirc process really oxygenates the water////

I had seen them. I just thought that this was a very clean build-out
of what you guys were suggesting.

I will want to do something like this raised platform whether
it is inside, or under, the tent.

So, a really clean build of such a thing is what I need to ponder.

You will notice that I "throw stuff around" LK. This does not mean
that I do not have some ideas already. lol.

It is like I am playing War-Games, or Dungeons and Dragons if you prefer,
in that I am trying to play out grows in my head....

and I appreciate the excellent fodder you all provide.

:0)
