Javadog's Next Adventure

I had seen them. I just thought that this was a very clean build-out
of what you guys were suggesting.

I will want to do something like this raised platform whether
it is inside, or under, the tent.

and I appreciate the excellent fodder you all provide.

Hey JD
I'v been thinking about the tent"riser". Seems to me (depending on tent size ) you could buy/build a flood table, place lg gage screen on top of table edges / support in center to support tent & plants, unzip bottom of tent ( 2 of mine unzip all the way the others only 3 sides) place tent on screen>on top of table. Plants on screen drain to table, table angled to drain to rez, seal for light leaks, why not? Works in my very spun mind..
I do mostly SOG, so height isn't an issue for me, but I can see not wanting to lose height with larger plants
Myself, I KNOW I would knock tent/plants/lights off the table within a week somehow, so I need to keep it simple.......

GHB's setup is very nice, cleaner than mine for sure .
Good luck with project, love to see what you come up with

Peace..✌

JD I sawe that setup of GHBs this morning and asked a few ?'s already.
I really like the clean look of that myself

Thanks guys.

I will expose my activities, so you will benefit, win, lose, or draw.

I am thinking of the simplest one foot high 4'X4' wide table ever made.

Something like a 3X3 grid of 4"x4" stumps, attached to a 2"X4" frame
with a cheap plywood cover.

I really appreciated the (obvious) Builder above who tried to clue me
in on best practices for building this thing....I did not get all of it, but
my motives are clear: Safety (thus durability) first, cost second....
...but CHEAP AS POSSIBLE!

:0)

With the new saucers this is not mandatory. I do not like how quickly
the water gets funky. I put a tblsp of a strong H202 solution into the
bottom of two of them as an experiment.

Whew....I am about to chop the SWOG Kush and Headband.

When I do this, then Somango and CVMMs go into the tent.

I LOVE not having bugs! If I ever see the borg again, then I will
buy the triple threat of predatory mites, as they will be able to maintain
a population as the harvests will be staggered.

I am also going to be learning to make sprays, testing them on the garden.
I am growing four different peppers, including habenero, to use.

Take care team!

You will notice that I "throw stuff around" LK. This does not mean
that I do not have some ideas already. lol.
i didnt mean anything by it i was just wondering if what i was typing was making sense, i was sure i couldnt describe it properly,,,,

also if you like fodder just to mix things up....you could go nug buckets style if you have aircooled hoods and mount them in the gap above tent, cutting out a portion of the top, were the light sits flush if that makes sense and you have air cooled hoods!!

You know...I had thought of that, when I found that I could not
get my light high enough for this grow.

I would then have to use a table to raise and lower the plants.
I am not complaining. This is part of the problem whatever the
approach.

I am very glad to have you here to help bro.

BTW: I am taking the plunge and getting my card today. I have
lost 50 lbs in the last year, with what I am going through, and can
honestly say that herb helps me, so I am sure that it will go ok.

I am also registering the business name that I am going to use.
I want to use it as to represent my activities. (mums the word for
now, but I am thinking about making a mushroom product available online)

Have a great day/evening all!

I could also extend the sides of my tent until the extensions
meet the ceiling (light-tight). Then I could cut the ceiling of
the tent open and hang the light from the roof.

!

:0)

I should not laugh...this might happen.

You are receiving me Bob....but I do not use that brand of tent
and would need to be certain about form factor.

I am indeed thinking Panda film, as this is a part of the tent that
will never need to change...i.e. no doors or windows or zippers.

I will have to hang....wait for it...a fucking Disco Ball for the wife
....in the Family Room, if I am going to put a screw into the ceiling
of the man-cave to hang my lamp from.... and I have been dodging
that thing for a decade.

I swear when I think of her idea of fun, I recall scene from "Fear and
Loathing in Las Vegas" where Raoul and Dr. Gonzo are staggering into
the rotating casino...

Bazooko's Circus is what the whole hep world would be doing every Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war.
LOL...I will hole up in the cave, thank you very much!

LOL, I love it.

I am going to move the mature females into the tent soon,
but I suppose that any alterations necessary can be done
in one day. (or will need to be planned so)

I am really in a place where I can take the Headband and
SWOG Kush any time now, as the trichs are not showing
many clear left and about as many amber as clear, but
I want to let them stink up a bit more. :0)

I will post a shot of the clone table. It is funny, but all three
stages are getting ready to advance at about the same time.

At the same time that the current crop is finishing, the next
hempys are juuust about to get too big to flip (NOT again!),
and the seedlings in the clone table (PK, Cheese Surprise,
Green Crack, Trainwreck, etc, etc) are just about to hit their
ceiling. Amazing.

Take care,

JD

Yup, convergent evolution. :0)

Check it out: I checked Headband tonight....gotta go. So I chop it,
and then I suddenly have to run to the Pharmacist.

When I got home I almost stumbled coming in...the stink!

I have it chopped up in the closet and so we will see if I survive
the morning.

BUT, as of today, I have an answer for the old lady that has
the force of Law. Yes, I came out of the tent today. Carded. :0)

We need to be able to have visitors, and I do not share bud lore
with my son. (maybe some day...I am kinda old fashioned and
think that he supposed to find that out at college....joking) so
I will need to make sure that the filter is doing its job. It is about
six months old, and I think that it is still doing pretty well.

I will post a slew of photos, but this baby was all over the place.
Once I took the ring off I had to hold it together.

Here is one action shot of me trying to capture one of the branches
before the side numbers flopped over:
IMG_2184.jpg

You can see that this plant did not fill out like the PurpleBerry, but
it is a Kush and it did what it does, I think.

...and when I compare this grow to my SOG, then each plant has
only to match that of four of the SOG elements....I am pretty sure
that I am going to be happy overall.

Here is a tasty bud shot:
IMG_2176.jpg

Nicely matured, I think. I am kinda proud of that....patience is not my strong suit. :0)

Take care all, and thanks for talking crap out.

If Headband is anything like Dog which I suppose the genetics would suggest, then I know that strong scent...My strongest smell of recent harvest by far

Thank you both.

I had this litany running through my mind over the last couple weeks.

You are only now in a position to do this thing.
You worked three months to be in this position.
Act now, and you will have to wait three months to be here again.

It seems to be working. :0)

JD

P.S. My filter, together with my window push-fan, did their job and only
the cave smells like a pine tree+lemons+pussy+comet cleanser

...but here's a funny one...I cut up a small SWOG larf bud to taste and
the smell was....fish....ugh. LOL, green and speed dried, this means nothing yet.

I have read about way to speed dry and have tried several
The best one is the microwave IMO believe it or not
Small bud on a saucer and a few 4-5 sec on high blasts.
It will still seem wet when it is right, so dont go till its dry or it will be over-dry in 5 min after out of micro.
taste and smell are best IMO with this method.

Reeeeaaaally. Hmmm. Well, I have plenty to play with.

I think that I will run a BHO blast while the family is out. :0)

Take care,

Not sure why I didn't notice this new spot until now JD, just bad form on my part. Nice job on the HB, way to let her finish up great. I struggle
with letting them fully ripen myself, usually the timing of the next crop forces my hand.

Going back a couple pages to the old time strains, alot of the first haze and skunk hybrids included old school mexican landrace sativa. I remember it being very floral and piney tasting.

Also Shiva Skunk was a definite favorite of my early days.

Alot of Shantibaba's early work was also outstanding at the time.

So are you a fan of his Hazes?

Definitely. I like NL#5 x Haze, and of course SSH is a great haze. Both are moderate flowering, they say 9 weeks but more like 11.

Neville's Haze is excellent but is a major commitment to one plant. My brother once force flowered one outside by bringing it in for 12 hrs
and it took all of 20 weeks to finish. Might shave that down to 16 weeks inside which is what they claim flower time to be.
