Anyone Try adding a 100w heat lamp on top of their 800watt of qbs? might be a cheap way to add the reds to the existing qb builds. I'll be trying one soon i think.
LED- leaf temp will almost always be the same as ambient.Exactly, heat the plant, not the air and tent. How do leaf temperatures compare to ambient with HPS and HID etc?
BTW, I was doing some research on my insulated grow chamber idea... https://rimstar.org/renewnrg/heat_transfer_loss_calculations.htm
iv'e just ordered a 50w one for a small veg tent as struggling bad with led especially in vegAnyone Try adding a 100w heat lamp on top of their 800watt of qbs? might be a cheap way to add the reds to the existing qb builds. I'll be trying one soon i think.

does this still need to go off.
Did you notice any stretch or any difference to what your used to? Im going to try 850nm ledbased infra red and will be doing limited trials at night, only a small section, but also afraid of possible herming. Not sure about your heat lamp, any ideas of spectrum or link for it? If no light from it and you can afford to take the risk of some seeds i say go for it. Any pics of those plants would also be lovely happy growingok been using the 50w heat lamp in veg for a few weeks now and plants look much happier.
have just switched to flower should i turn these off during dark or am i ok to use for 24hr

Absolutely post a linkdon't know if i'm allowed to post links but if you google ceramic heat emitter you'll see which i mean. think they used as reptile heat lamps.
says non light emitting heater below
Feature:
• Black bulb: simulates the moon's natural glow for nocturnal viewing without disturbing the reptile's day/night cycle.
• Tough ceramic sockets: won't break down in heat stress.
• Non-light emitting heater: offers an excellent 24 hours heat source.
• Infrared hot: may penetrate the skin organization, expands the blood vessel and blood cirulation.
• Flat-faced design: more efficient and longer lasting which build up excess heat internally.
• No need additional light source: thoroughly heat any reptile.
i purchased the 50w one for a 2x2 tentAbsolutely post a link
Theres no light to it. Plants wake up with 660ish nm. I guess im im j a curious one. Will be doing this but with a led package.I wouodnt

Coolio. Id look out for extra stretch and nanners; male pollen sacks. Not that id expect them, but if something happens it would go along those lines. How big is your space? Will you have space to have some kinda control plant to see a conparison?gonna give it a try for a few week let you no if anything goes wrong
