White Lsd auto is growing along at Day 28, currently she is under 6 x 27W CFLS (Daylight) and 1x30W LED, planning to add 3 more CFL lights in 2700K spectrum once flowering begins. It showed pre flower last week. All the nodes above 3rd one have pistils. :leaf:

At first sight of pre flowers, I thought it was going to jump to full blown flowering, but happy to report that she is still growing new branches and leaves at a healthy rate. Hopefully another week or so to go for budding to begin.

She is about 7-8 inches tall; Thought of LST'ing her, but since its my first auto I decided to not mess with it and let her grow as she wants. But the lower most nodes were barely getting any light, so I took off the bottom two branches and buried the stem with 2 inches of soil. So now the plant is about 6 inches tall from base.

Growth has took off, since I started watering her with pH adjusted water, keeping it at 5.5-6. Soil pH has come down from almost 8 (definite nute lockout) to 6.8-7 manageable levels. Pics below.

IMG_20180707_112628.jpg IMG_20180704_111922.jpg I knew this plant will make it great bro you've taken good care of her and she will reward you with some good buds . I performed lst on my Durban poison .Shes 22 days old now and responded well to lst and she have not yet showed preflowering ..I had some issues with calcium deficiency due to using RO water so I added some egg shell powder and her leaves started to turn green again and the problem was solved and now she's growing new branches and I'm growing her on 100 watt CFL expecting around 15 to 20 grams which is enough for me and i think you can try lst on your LSD it's really easy and is not stressful to plant if done correctly .IMG_20180707_112628.jpg

Hey buddy, great to see your Durban Poison, she looks very healthy and green! Amazing work for a 22 day old plant  Also does she smell yet?

You're right LST'ing won't do much harm to her, So I will consider tying her down today, so other budding sites could receive light. I counted 5 locations on the plant where pistils have formed, hopefully they'll all make buds! :hump:

Also if you are adding egg-shell to the soil, keep in mind it will raise the soil pH, so better add a teaspoon of vinegar with in your water to neutralize the alkaline nature of egg-shells. I am pleasantly surprised with how efficiently CFL lights have worked for both our grows. :blsmoke:

Uploading a close up pic of top node, very dense growth in there, can also spot some pistils there

I mix lemon juice with white vinegar and use it as home-made pH down like @Squidkid has suggested.

Yes you can use lemon juice on its own, if you don't have white vinegar. But you'll have to use a lot of it, so I suggest getting some cheap white vinegar from local supermarket/grocery store. one bottle will last you for 1-2 grows.

Basically, any acidic solution can be used. Even better if you can buy a soil probe meter or pH meter, it comes super handy when measuring water pH and keep it in preferred range.

Another tip: Don't try and lower soil pH in one go, rather do it over 3-5 watering sessions.
Cheers!

I've added one tablespoon vinegar with one tablespoon lemon juice with 600 ml water and hope this balance the pH anyway guys thanks for the tip .:-P

The plant looks super healthy and i must grow Durban Poison from Dutch Passion for my next grow.Your gona have an awesome smoke from this plant buddy.

Thats a good grow for a plant that went under stress early. Shes gona yield you some wonderful buds.

Autos grow tremendously well indoor than outdoor Indian Weather. I always end up with early flowering and pale short plant. Durban Poison tempts me to try indoor. Hope i will join you guys soon.

Yeah bro you are right autos do great indoor. You just need some CFL and proper ventilation and it works great for a beginner currently I'm growing under 100 watt which won't yield much I'll be happy if I get around 15 to 20 grams of buds.

One more thing autos need great quality soil which is airy and have a good drainage so if you are planning to grow indoor buy some great quality soil on Amazon the one that I'm using is trustbasket organic soil to be honest it's really good and have great drainage and I added some perlite which made the soil more airy, soil is the most important for any auto flower strain the photos do okay even in dirt but autos have different requirements so to have a great plant start with good organic soil.

@indysouthsativa Thanks man! I'm quite happy with the way she bounced back after stressing.

I agree that Autos are more suited to be grown indoors, since they hardly grow too big to manage, and you have better control over their environment. IMO Autos are pointless if you are not on a 20/4 or 24/0 light schedule. Will lose too much yield and growth on normal daylight cycle. Would be great to have you join the indoors club :-D

Update: One month completed today, I have LST'd the White lsd she now has a number healthy looking branches.

AWSD d- 31.jpg Note the little land-race seed that I randomly threw in the pot has also sprouted. :weed:

Great to hear that from you!
Here's a pic of the lighting setup. Not the best of my photography, took this pic in a hurry so

AWSD 32.jpg

Looks very neat , But I suggest you take off the plastic diffuser/dome covering your LED lamp, it blocks a lot of useful light.

Also your lights are focused in the center and a bit high-up than I'd like. CFLs don't make useful light beyond 6 inches. But still a great set-up nonetheless.
