Yes you do. Rosin still has the plant waxes in it. I ruined a lot of carts before learning that they needed to be winterized, after winterizing it's right on par with any other carts out there. Clear amber thick oil.

I was in the Wax Liquidizer site. They mention E-juice and vape oil? And they mention using pressed rosin but they never mention anything about rosin preparation..... a bit misleading I think. No mention of winterizing or anything. I’m not knocking it. What did I miss? Be easy

It's real easy man. Press out bud with rosin press, buy ethonol, dissolve rosin into ethonol and freeze for at least one day, strain out through coffee filter into glass while still freezing cold, pour the clean clear amber ethonol onto a pyrex dish, evaporate outside, vacuum purge. Bingo, clean concentrate ready to be mixed with a liquidizer. Personally I use around a 3:1 ratio of concentrate to peg400. I got a high tolerance

The name brand is dabpress I believe. Cost me I believe 250$. Good quality though, I'm happy with them. 3x5 inch plates, the press is a 12 ton harbor freight one. Very shitty quality as far as measurements go and things lining up. I was actually a little afraid to use it at first, it also twists and flexes a bit when put under high pressure but I've used it lots with no problems.. still is a bit sketchy. I stand to the side when using it.

Ya they aren’t ment for that kind of use I don’t believe, I’m buying their 12 ton also and probably the $189 plates on eBay. I have a vacuum pump already. Did your rosin swell up under vacuum? The smoke you saw was moisture and alc from inside the jar, in my business that means it is working well

No I’m not getting a cold press set yet, I didn’t purchase the “dabpress” cageset either. Trying to be careful how much I spend ..... I’m not sure how quickly I’ll see a return. I’ll buy the press maybe next week. I’m harvesting in a couple days

Does the rosin need to be winterized? I mean before the e juice base is added. The wax liquidizer website says nothing of winterizing

Yes, it does if going into cartridges. If you don’t, you’ll get around 1-10 hits and then it won’t hit anymore. I wasted allot of time and money figuring it out. When I started fucking around with this, no one was saying shit. Consider yourself lucky
Winterizing doesn’t seem to be necessary if going into a vape tank on a box mod. I like the cloud baby beast. When I was doing this, I was doing 50/50 with the liquidizer. Big ass clouds, get baked quick.
Nowadays I’m making distillate and into ccell carts.

Yeah it muffined up. They're meant for that kind of use, it's a press meant to press. Just that harbor frights are very low quality but they work.

I had read somewhere about people beefing them up somehow.
I googled briefly but now I cant find it.
But do you feel it could be remedied with a welder and some plate steele?
Or is it something you can just live with?
