The thread & side by side start today as i just got hlg's light last night.
I know you are all excited but have some faith.
They will be divided today as they will jave to be because hlg's light will light up her whole 4x4 & hers will only focus on her plants so that wouldn't be fair to hlg.
I dont have tents but do have PandaWrap.
Everything's as even as possible & the Documentation starts today.
Only have had a chance for intro on my way to work today.
Pls everyone give me a chance.
You will all be happy, just chillax so i can do this right.
Stephen, thnx fir the offer on the tents but i dont see it as necessary.
Cammi sent a time-laps camera so that will be cool to see at the end. Thnx!

This seems like a really uprepared test and the results will be controversial at the best... You don't already have 2 seperate tents? You don't already have clones to use for the test? Surely you won't be growing seperate strains and have them all in the same grow space?
I posted my gripes about it on the other thread, but I have to agree.

To the OP:
Don't worry hybrid I'm super chillaxed. Just seeing issues before you even start makes us all . I want to see the best outcome here.

You are already talking about how you will do this or that adjustments to make it "fair".

This test is about comparing the same clones which should have been cut the day your HGL light got there. But since that didn't happen then they should be getting cut today as day one of this grow. Under the same grow conditions, including environment. (And I think even light intensity would be best to determine which light spectrum grows the best plants.)

With regards to light intensity, I totally understand not keeping that metric the same because that is one of the selling points that HLG focuses on as an advantage.

But at the very least you should run both lights EXACTLY by the manufacturers recommendation! That way the spectrum/light unit is the only major variable in the grow.

Frankly anything short of a low variable grow is going to be controversial and inconclusive.

Everything is & will remain even. You guys are speculating w/o giving me a chance. Hasnt even been 24 hrs to gave a chance to describe anything.
The plants are all even & i will show that .
Pls people, let me do my thing. If anyone has a solid problem then bring it to my attention & ill fix it but rn you guys, especially Cammi. Have no clue. Why, cuz i havent tokd you yet. Why, cuz i have to eat, work, shit, sleep, & have kids too. My life dies not consist of sitting in fro t if a computer.

Lol dude you did tell us though. You told us about cutting the clones weeks ago and them growing under various different lights already. You showed the rooms with the lights mounted up out I the pictures, and 2 different wall colors. You have shared these things with us, and we have watched lots of previous "side by sides" from many growers over the years where these things caused inconsistencies. I you are changing it all up so it's all correct awesome. So far you have just told people to chill. I'm very chill, just having a conversation about important variables in an accurate test grow.

Scientifically speaking, you ought to make sure everything is the same so the only variable is the lights. Unless they are both used in the same environment on the same plants it's real easy to taint the results so anyone can claim BS on the test. I hope to hear more about how the test is set up.
