Bull, doesn't matter what lights you use, I've ran them all. And my nutrients don't change from light to light, maybe plant to plant, but that's cultivar difference and not a lighting difference.

Yes, I use them all to some extent. Having 40 yrs of growing this plant you acquirer a lot of equipment and experience wouldn't you think?

Close Those are average ppfds. Lil higher fir the hlg of around 1250 over the plant itself which was a little smaller then a 4x4. More like 42" around. Most of grow till i lowered the plant to & got to around 1100 ppfd towards the last 3 wks or so. Almost 10wks on the HLG & Still was growing white hairs & swelling. Was 100% cloudy so got the chop.
The hgl ran 1000-250 over the 4x4 so its hard to say. I just guessed at 700 ppfd due to my bouncing the lights around to cover spots it did not cover the previous day. Chopped 2/3 plant at 9wk , 1 day ten the rest 2 days later.
It was done a solid week earlier.
Big difference in growth characteristics.

Yea dude! I'm in my mid sixty's. There where no blogs or forums around at that time or even internet. so you learned from regular gardening books.

I did my first grow in about 1988 ish….but haven't grown every year or even every decade after.

might as well post them. it doesn't matter who wins anyone who is growing as a proper hobby is going to get the good ones- HLG, anyways.
Just a shame it was such a controversial comparison from the outset. I applaud what u tried to do. Least u got some free lights eh.

It would be nice to get a final summary of the grow off. Watts at the wall, ppfd, days to finish, yield, cost of lights, etc. all in one nice post for easy reference. Of course everyone would then dispute it and just get angry and yell and cry... but it would be good for people actually interested in it.

Majority here do not veg long enough to even see the true plant response to the spectrums or lights they're using. Then right into flower. So many of these 2 oz plant growers never see full morphology or maturity. Its almost like bangin underage girls then talking about knowing what a woman wants. I just don't get it dude!
