No I think he's says his plants that weren't grown specifically under either 1 light, or of the same cuts, aka his personal plants

Plants going are ones that were recently harvested off a pheno hunt n didnt quite make the cut. Sorry for the confusion. The GGW#1 That each side has will remain. SonicFlys will stay & so will FuelBomb. OBB x BlueDream might get another go. Got good seeds.
Hgl=575w i think & HLG is 308 rn.
Both plants receiving 5-600 u4mols & growing fast now transplanted. Will put a tape measure in them tom before they grow to much & get stronger light.

Sorry if I missed it but why the large differance in wattage?

can't look at those rootbound things anymore, this is torture.
Lol, but i think hes in coco. In coco, i have witnessed amazing growth with multiple daily feedings on rootbound plants. I actually prefer them to be root bound in coco.
Having said that, the risk lies in many plants reacting negatively by herming. But plenty dont mind, and again, the growth rates can be shocking!

Of course, soil mixes are different ballgame.

So the HGL is running 267 more watts. That hardly seems like a fair fight its like HLG has one arm tied behind its back.
Indeed. But i do feel theres a case for comparing the lights at the highest lightlevels that the plants will accept. But that menas in the end its more a comparison of 2 spectrums rather than two lights. You could veg another 4x4 with those 267w.
It's all veg right now, and it's keeping up.
Both plants are steady.
I don't know prices of each, but 267 watts less for however long you veg for near same results means alot, no me at least lol.
Th Hgl is stupid expensive, think +450$ per 180w unit.

No dimmer on the 84x's but want to maintain a square pattern.
Both equally getting umols.
Upping the wattage on the Trinty would only mean raising it.
Remember, its only one plant for each side we are focusing on now. But i will share the others at some point.
At least this grow will give some good indications on spectrum versus intensity. To this day i can really only remember Rahz's thread on CRI testing doing something similar. And as red supplement is the new craze i find this grow really relevant.

Read up on what happens to terpenes as a response to red light.
I thought the terps was mostly affected by blues? Does red diminish them?

Ive Ive only seen one side by side on riu which went into this. It was another CRI comparison but i dont dont rem who. Iirc the high CRI (bit more red) had a few terps that the low CRI didnt.

Any linki for my readi? Thx
