Here is my CFL grow.

I am still out of town and wont get back home until this evening. So i will take pics of them and post as soon as i can.

Yep, i live way out in the country. LOL. I like living in the country more than the city. If i lived in the city i would have never started this grow. I like the privacy of the country. Here is a couple pics that i just took. I can see some of the hairs are getting darker and the buds are starting to swell up pretty good. I am going to try and post pics up everyday, so if anyone with any growing experience. Please let me know if they look ready to harvest. I am probably a week too late but i just started giving the plants Black Strap Molassas this morning and i will be giving it to them till it is time to harvest.

Looking good buster. How long they been flowering? Can you get a pic of like the entire plant in the cab? I want to see the size of everything. I am a little into flowering myself and those buds are getting me excited... Good luck man. looking tasty.

I will get a couple pics up for ya tonight. They are only like 19inches tall, so my yield is going to be really small. I have learned a lot this time so next grow will be a lot bigger. I was really using this first grow to see if i could get them to flower and get a little bud. But they are doing really well for their size. I am getting 6 more AK's in about a week so i can veg them until they are like 22 inches tall and then flower them. Then i will get a yield that i can brag about.

They have been flowering for like 48 days now. So how much longer does it look like these have to go.

id say at least 2-3 weeks, but im not expert on harvest dates

Here is one shot of what they look like in the room and a couple pics of the tops on one of the plants that should be ready soon. What do you think. To be honest, i bet i only end up with around 1/2 ounce from each of these first two plants.

I can handle waiting another 2 or 3 weeks. That would give me time to give them the molasses for 2 weeks and then a week of flushing. But you can see in the second pic above that some of the hairs on the upper part of the bud is turning darker. If i do wait for another 3 weeks, will it hurt the upper part of the buds potency?

No need to explain small yields- Its kind of like getting in a fight with someone twice your size. Even if you get your ass kicked - you still get the respect. Not to mention the learning aspect for future grows.

I haven't done much flowering yet so I wouldn't be your best answer but... I think most people let them go right around 62-65 days. If you got a Magnifying glass or something you could wait until you see the Trichomes turn amber. Correct me if my research has done me wrong people but-

-If you want a high that is more upidty, you would want to harvest when the Trichs have turn 10%-30% Amber.
-If you want a high that is more "body" stoned feeling.. you want to wait longer- 50%+.
-The PRIME time to harvest seems to be 50%-50%.

I read the reason for this is because after time the Matured Amber Trichs break down the THC into CBD. Below I pasted this pic I came across for an example. Also Here is a good snippet I read elsewhere to help understand this.

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) gets a user high, a larger THC content will produce a stronger high. Without THC you don't get high.


CBD (Cannabidiol) increases some of the effects of THC and decreases other effects of THC. High levels of THC and low levels of CBD contribute to a strong, clear headed, more energetic high.
Cannabis that has a high level of both THC and CBD will produce a strong head-stone that feels almost dreamlike. Cannabis that has low levels of THC and high levels of CBD produces more of a buzz or stoned feeling. The mind feels dull and the body feels tired.

Thanks for the info and kind words. I really need to go to the nearest radio shack and pick up one of their little hand held microscopes that people on here are always talking about. I want to wait to harvest them when they are 50%amber and 50%clear or cloudy. I want the best high for my time that i have invested in them. How do you like the trichs that are forming on the AK-47's. They have been in the flowering room for around 35 days now. And are literally covered in beautiful sugary goodness. LOL

shit I didn't even see you posted these pictures tongiht. Nice pics too. Looks like Rock Candy! Oh well about the weight. You know what to do and what not to do next time... Damnit- I need to stop looking at people harvest pics.. I am getting way to excited. I would say go with 50-50 also from the research however it is really all preference/patience. Let them go longer, from what I seen the last few weeks they start fattening up quite a bit..... I`ll check back

OK, I will try and let them go for another few weeks but i will still be posting pics everyday or two. I can't wait to get the new clones so i can veg them for about a month and then put them into flower. When i get the clones they will be around 14 inches tall. So i figure a month of veg will get them to the height that i want when finished. And i have made up my mind to get 8 to 10 42w cfls for the next grow and use the lights that i have now for veg. I will do whatever i have to do to be able to grow at least 6 plants at a time. And for the next grow i will not be topping the new clones unless height becomes an issue.

Here is a few pics from tonight. The first pic is of Sugar. She is one of my AK's. I love to just look at her all the time. She is completely covered in trichs. The second pic is of Lacy. She got her second watering with the Molasses today. And the last pic is of Cagney. She also received her second watering with the molasses. I looked at the trichs on them tonight with the backwards binoculars trick and from what i could see, they are still mostly clear. I cant wait to get one of those little 60x scopes so i can really get a good look at them. I am going to wait until i get the 50/50 mix of amber and cloudy trichs before harvest.

Looking good for the light that you have dude.
Its a shame that you cant get more lights.

Hey buster, just for gp, how many cfls and of what watt are you using? My cfl buds look very similar, and im using 8 26ers

I am using like 4 23w and 2 22w and 2 15w cfls. I will add lights as i can get them. I know that as soon as these plants are done the lights that i do have will be used in the veg room and i am going to make a new light setup out of 8-12 42w cfls for the next flowering. I am pretty happy with how these are turning out under what light i do have.

yeah good idea on the new set up, cfls are pretty damn cheap, cant go wrong
