well I was emptying out a sip that just finished, it was my experimental one, and had a mesh screen along the bottom, (I choose to leave that out my final design in hopes to get more water roots) Well it is a fact, you do get water roots, and these pics will prove it! I was so excited when I saw this, just need to do some tweaking and I can have this down pack in a few cycles tops!!

also yes the roots are brown, but it's bc they sit in em1! that shit stains everything!

seeing this really made my day!

also so yall can understand what ur looking at, that's the floor above the rez, and the roots grew through everything! I'm so happy lol also its flipped upside down into another tote!

the tucking has begun! looking for advise on when to move into flower, I've heard she streches 100% from the man who gave me the cut! so I'm seriously considering flipping her to flower at around 50% Scrog fill.... I really don't know if anyone wants to chime in I'd appreciate it! this cut arrived at my house on 10/31, so we're at almost exactly a month... tad over.CM181202-040527003.jpg

Oh yeah the gg4 is a stretcher for sure. Ive sometimes had more than 100% stretch with her. Been growing it on and off for a couple years now.

so when would u flip 12/12, if u were doing what I'm doing, I just want the scrog filled, I'd rather not have to do a dbl layer scrog! but I'll do w.e. I have to!

if you don't have a lot of headroom to work with, i'd probably flip pretty soon. expecting 100% stretch (and then some), which has been my experience with this strain, you'll have no problem filling out that trellis.

can u clear something up for me, ppl say 100% stretch are yall measuring from the soil?

like let's say I have a gg that's exactly 1ft tall, if it streches 100% then when I harvest total plant will be 2ft? am I correct? I know I sound like a noob asking these dumb questions lol, just trying to make sure, bc if that is the case I may need to lower my scrog just a a few more inches!

and last question let's so I'm flipping 12/12 right now... how long should I continue to tuck branches?

this gg and the growth rate has got me fucked up never grown anything like this! it's already bigger than plants that have been in veg for 2 months! the gg in the sip is just getting massive very fast!

plz excuse all the sticky traps lol I went over Board with them!CM181202-143930001.jpg

Man i had two identical tables, same clone i vegged one for a month, about 20 inches tall

The other table was 6 inches tall at the flip to flower.

The big table didnt stretch much at all Maybe only grew a few inches .

The young plants and now almost outgrowing my lights..

Theres alot of factors that go into a stretching plant .

Best thing is to just air on the side of caution the first time with a new strain

Yes. The canopy. In your case, your plant will double it's size fom the screen up. If you flip now and tuck thru stretch, your screen will most likly be over-filled. You can always prune over growth, but you can't make more tops get to and thru the screen that aren't there.
and last question let's so I'm flipping 12/12 right now... how long should I continue to tuck branches?

Tuck thru stretch or until your screen is filled. most tucking is done well before the golfball pistils show up. If you can drop your screen height now, it would greatly help, both, in terms of giving you back some vertical height for flower as well as filling the screen quicker.

Stretchy strains can be flipped earlier with less screen filled because stretch will fill them. Less strechy strains needs more of the sceen filled before flip.
An ideal scrog has nothing but stacked colas sticking thru the screen. It takes some time to learn the strains growth characteristics during stretch to determine when to stop tucking and let her be.
However, there are certain cues and visual aids to be used to help make the process easier ie internodal length, stretch etc.
HTH. Girls look good!
