I make cocobudder in a crock pot without any water but even the 10:1 ratio takes a full teaspoon to catch a decent buzz so you'd have to take 5 -8 '00' caps to get a teaspoon worth and that would likely be too small a dose for fighting cancer with. Instructions in the link in my sig.

Could skip the capping of it tho and eat it directly like I do. Doesn't taste great but not that bad and I'll melt a tsp onto a cookie or something and eat that. A capfull of ISO/RSO is a much larger dose of oil than a tsp of my cocobudder tho.

Make sure not to use veggie caps with oil or they will melt. Gelatin caps are fine with oil tho.
@cannabineer weren't we discussing tests for solvent efficacy this morning?

As for to small for fighting cancer with I'd love to see your sources for that information.

I make coconut treats all the time. Except I don't bother to cap them at all, I use silicone molds for different shapes (much larger than 0 0 caps) and eat that instead. ISO oil caps will be way more potent per ml than anything I can make using coconut oil. However I just eat more coconut oil as I mentioned. Something like this or larger:

Coconut oil is good for you as a medium chain fat. Not so sure about remnants of ISO not properly purged.

remanents of unpurged iso end up in your underwear....don't ask...lol

I use a magical butter machine...makes 1000+ caps in bulk in a couple hours...just need to find out how to add iso oil to caps...to thick it won't flow....too hot the gell caps melt...so maybe a hybrid oil/coconut oil will allow syringe use without as much heat...I'm still a learner...;))))

I would think that you could add a small amount of a light carrier oil to the iso oil to thin it out. Something like MCT oil should work very well. Made from coconut but liquid at room temp and has a low viscosity. I'd weigh the iso oil than add 10% MCT and mix it in. I bought some to try instead of coconut oil as it has no taste at all and I think I'd like something already liquid to more easily soak into a cookie or other baked goods.

Indeed. Coconut oil or other edible fat does a great job of extracting the active compounds. A single-stage extraction is all that is needed. The resultant infused oil or fat will have the full compound profile.

think i mentioned way earlier in the thread that i use my crockpot and coconut oil when i'm making oil, like the way it works a lot. comes out perfectly decarbed overnight, with no hassle, and nothing to purge
decarbed...

most think herb is decarbed ONLY when it hits a certain heat
Truth is
Heat only speeds the process up.
Once herb is COMPLETELY 100% dry..its said to be decarbed
You can decarb rosin ..from a press easily on the plates you press it from,
increase the temp to 235 if the rosin you have butters ovenight and heat it for a few minutes on the plate...it turns clear and will stay that way and not butter up again from inactive cannabinoids

The kinetics of THCA decarboxylation are very heat-dependent.
Weed at room temperature (including California room temps) is effectively inert.

I have a five-year-old sample of C99 "wax" (solidified THCA-rich extract) that looks today like it did then.

Up around 90 degrees C, things begin to happen. THCA decarbs within 24 hours at that temp.
100 degrees C is one hour or so for decarb.

Heat a sample of "carbed" oil to 110 degrees for 10 minutes, and job done.

I hope this is useful info.

and solvents being illegal for use....
What do you mean by that? I am curious because I use solvents routinely. But I am in California.

With our NEW Prohibition II :hump::hump::hump::hump::idea::hump::hump::hump::hump::idea::hump::hump::hump::hump::idea::hump::hump::hump::hump::idea:
the NEW REGULATIONS (lol) Cannadian EH) made it ILLEGAL for patients to use SOLVENT for making their meds.
We cannot get reg alcohol here( Ont) like some of our provinces as well. or would we be able to use it to extract the meds anyway.
Its Olive ..coconut or what ever oil to remove it ONLY .....or a press. which really...is just fine!!! and what I do now.
They made patients criminals in the eyes of the law because our government lost out to the sick folks 7 to 0 in a supreme court decision. by making new laws regarding solvents, driving.. and more etc.. :dunce: which they wil lose out to in court once again. A long process of say 20 more years ha ha and we may see legal after all because IT SURE IS NOT NOW!!!
We have rights but they say we are criminals if we use them lol
