Another rainy day here. I hope it stays light. I've stretched lots of tarps, but my shit still gets wet, even when it's covered.

At 1515 it's raining, 71F with 91% humidity. The forecast high low is 80/68F with 90% chance of rain tonight. 80% tomorrow.

Getting some "normal" Midwest weather. Haven't really had a hard frost yet which is kind of rare, usually see one toward end of Oct.

Rose bushes managed to fight off black spot (using every fungicide known to man) and are doing good. Except for the brutal heat/humidity a few weeks in the summer, would have been a fairly good season for pot outside. Plants would have really finished nice these last 4 weeks or so...

Gotta love your spirit. Class 5 hurricane barrels through and a month later you're back at the grow site. I'm thankful that I can just trim and burp my harvest at this point.

The weed is something I can do, and see results. This cleanup is going to take years, and it's not going to be very rewarding. All this late season stuff was for breeding. And since two of the Too Slo's have gone hermie, I'm not going to use any of them now. And that is mostly what I have out. And I may have waited too long to pollinate the Gorille Endormi X Shunk AF, as it looks pretty close to finished. So that is a bitch, but what are you going to do? I'll still make a little smoke off them.

The day after the storm I was doing the lost lid shuffle. There was a gallon paint can and a two gallon milk can full of bud that blew from under the pole barn. I found them the next day, but I did lots of stressing. They hadn't gone far, just covered up so I couldn't see them. None of my bud has been burped. I did take a few cans to the camp, and had planned on working it, but I spent until midnight getting the camp straightened out, and didn't get around to burping.

I'm lucky in that most of my patches were in young trees. It's a little more open than it was, but I should be able to use the same holes I have been. Especially for off season growing. I'm going to get started on some fall/winter stuff as soon as the moon is right.

I worked in the shed today. Took the metal roof that was stuck inside the building apart and used it on the other shed for a temp fix to the big holes. Got the rafters and lathes separated and stacked. Then threw out lots of ruined shit. Put as much stuff as I could into the other shed, and piled and tarped the rest. I was racing the rain all afternoon. Sprinkled several times, but didn't rain rain until it was past time for me to go to work.

At 1625 it's mostly cloudy, 79F with 90% humidity. Forecast high low of 80/67F with 80% chance of rain tonight, and 90% tomorrow.

We were pretty warm this morning. Did a little chainsawing and whatnot. Rain in the afternoon. Wind has been picking up the last hour or so. At 2300 it's cloudy, 60F with 90% humidity. Forecast high low of 78/48F with 20% chance of rain tonight. Ten day forecast high low of 72/37F with only two days of possible rain. So real fall weather is finally going to get here on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's been cold and windy today. Lots of sunshine though. At 1900 it's clear, 51F with 65% humidity. Forecast high low of 69/43F with no chance of rain tonight. 10 day high low of 73/41F with 3 days of possible rain. Looks like I will have to wait a while on the 30's. I really don't mind.

We had our first frost yesterday morning. My local weather underground station has been offline since the hurricane, and the closest one said it got down to 29F. I'm not sure if I'm buying that, but it was a heavy white frost. Had a lighter frost this morning, but with heavy fog. Looked pretty cool. But it burned off early.

At 1040 it's sunny, 64F with 54% humidity. Forecast high low of 66/42F with no chance of rain. 10 day forecast 70/42F with only two days of possible rain. And that is 8-9 days out. We can sure use some sunny days. My buddy will be helping my boss's husband and sons put on her roof this week. Then he can get to my roof, sheds, pumphouse, etc, etc.

It was a very nice day today. What I saw of it. Mostly inside at work, but looking out, it looked great. At 1700 it's clear, 62F with 53% humidity. Our high was 70F and the forecast low is 45F with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day forecast of 72/41F with three days of possible rain.

Last night we went out with friends after work, so I didn't get my miles in. Should be home at a decent hour tonight. {we close early on Sunday} Will try for 3-4 miles, 3 one-hitters each of a couple three strains, and two stops for coffee. Since finding out how good Cafe Bustelo instant and Swiss Miss are mixed 2/1 I have really upped my hiker coffee game.

I'll be camping Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Highs mid to low 60's lows 40F. My hands and feet are my weak links. I'm getting new hiking sleepwear, including new Darn Tough's, but I really need better gloves. The last few nights I've been holding both trekking poles in one hand, and have the other hand in my pocket.

Burrrr. We had a colder then expected low Wedesday morning. I camped down at my old river camp. The forecast was for a low of 40F but there was thick ice on the truck windshield. When I got home and checked the weather online, it said it was 27F. No big deal in most cases, but I hadn't put my Sawyer Squeeze water filter in the sleeping bag with me. I always sling out as much water as possible, and it hadn't been used for a good 6-7 weeks. Hopefully it was dry, but there is not good way to tell if it froze and busted or not.
