I tried out House and Garden Coco AB plus Earth Juice Micronutrients for this round. Also, a little bit different training than my usual.

The yield is smaller than my DG usual 4 per grows... but the quality looks better and the smell is definitely better.
I'm kinda sold on these House and Garden nutes again. I stopped using them about a year ago. I'm back on them now. Dyna Gro for Veg only...

Yeah, very excited about this crop... just 2 weeks left.
I feel like this is my return to growing high quality buds... I kinda put all my focus into low maintenance and high yields. I feel like somewhere along the line I let quality take a back seat. That needs to change and I think I am off to a great start with this G13 crop, Bubba OG's on the way, and a nice selection from a Killing Fields pack that I'm about to get into heavily this fall.
Something about fantastic buds just makes me happy. :hump:

I've got 92% cloudy trichs, 6% clear, 2% amber. At 7 wks... crazy.
I don't wanna chop it yet, but according to the trichs it is more than ready how I like it.

I've never seen a crop (trichs) all mature so evenly before. Usually I have like 60% cloud 30% clear and 10% amber... then I have to choose the best medium of trichs hitting maturity while minimal trichs degrading. Based on how even this is, kinda suspect a noticeable increase in potency from my past G13 crops... The only difference was I used H&G Coco AB + Bud XL instead of Dyna Gro. Also, I did more LST than I had in the past. I would think LST would make it less uniform though...?

I'm gonna take this crop at just 7.5 wks (53 days).

I've got a friend working on a smoke report. That should wrap up this journal real well. 4 grows and smoke report. done. haha.

Thanks for all this great info Heartland Hank! Between you and Doc Gruber I feel informed on best practice for cultivation of Greenthumb's G13. I am doing a grow of GT G13 now... though a little different than yours.

3 each Greenthumb G13 seeds
4' x 4' attic grow room 77" height
Advance LED DS XML 350 light http://advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/new-diamond-series-xml-10w-cree-xml/
Air injection technology (AIT) with coco coir chunks
http://shop.modularhydro.com/Hydro-Soil-System-35-Gal-Quad-Bundle-35-Gal-quad-hydro-soil-system.htm

Nutes: Gen Hydro CocoTech A+B grow then Gen Hydro CocoTech A+B bloom plus alternate bloom products
Additionals: Orca root mycorrhizal Botanicare Silica Blast Spray n Grow micro nutes

I used all of this equipment (except other nutes) for a soil AIT grow last year with 2 each Greenthumb Iranian G13 and two each Freedom 35. I had good results... the freedom 35 will be done again, I believe.

I am only doing 3 plants because of space concerns. I expect the G13 to demand a comparative larger amount of space. I will veg to 12" and then switch to 12/12. I enjoy the LED light I work with. Heat is a non issue with this light (and I only do a winter grow... the attic grow room really is hard to cool in the summer... I harvest enough to keep me and mine in smoker for a year).

So, a little different technique with the same genetics! Again.... thanks for sharing your info! And thanks to Gruber for his great documentation on G13, F35 and more!

Great job HH,, makes me want to buy g13. I'm real partial to his bean's one of my favorites that I grew awhile ago was Iranian short season, a.k.a auto flower, grown outdoors, good yeid and deceptively potent, :bigjoint:

when i grew g13 they were very big colas on a short frame..

i find a lot of docs other strains more potent for me anyway

done right the g13 can really be a yield master..

i have seen 3.5 lb plants under vertical bulbs

docs UK Cheese s1's can really yield well too.

Smells more than even Bubba ..and very good high

and as for freedom 35.

i really DID like it best at 35 days..sure it coulda gone longer but the 35 day high was what i prefered

#2 is finished... freak plant. Put to flower at 7 inches this plant looks like it has to be over a half LB...? I don't have much to compare it to. I've never had anything get anywhere near this big. Just guessing something like 9 oz... It's not super dense, but there are about 10-15 buds that are larger than a wine bottle and then many golf ball sized buds in closer to the main stem. I'll know the yield in a couple weeks.

It put out some new growth with new white pistils maybe 2 weeks ago. I was waiting for these pistils to turn brown but I saw that everything behind this new growth is very ripe. More ripe than I usually take it actually. One of my Haze plants does this too. I think this plant was ready to harvest a few weeks ago.. I was busy with all the Killing Fields 1-6/NL/SSH and G13 1 and this plant sort of got shoved in a corner. So.. tmrw it comes down.

I'm pretty excited about this one. I had friends hounding me for the G13 #1.. I didn't get to indulge as much as I wanted to. This plant is big enough that there is plenty to go around though. #1 had some very unique traits that I hope to see in this #2 plant. That smell especially.

I'll have more to say later after some up close and personal time at the trim table.. Also after I shake this flu. The garden has been getting neglected lately while I've been trying to sleep it off.

I think you'll love running it in production mode. I do! I'm getting around 10 O's with 4 plants in 2 gallons of coco under a 400hps in 85 days and i have far from an optimal set-up. They made not look done in 63 days but they are
85 total with vegging or 85 flowering

How many plants can you put under a 1000 watt light in seven gal gro bags

amigo...you can put as many or as few as you want and end up great..it depends how many you put in each grow bag

there are many ways to grow and done right they all work well

theorehtically the more plants you have in there the more yield..

if you just got main cola dominant

plant numbers can be dangerous **

..many of us only grow 1- 1.5 plants per 1kw which takes longer veg time

there is NO blanket answer..especially if you remove alot of leaves creatively..or just

concentrate on ONE multi armed tree

I think when you put more plants in the room the yield per plant diminishes but the overall yield increases.
Its possible to fill the room with only one plant if you want.
