I'm sure you are... I've never had a problem with OG... My experiences with him have been nothing but good shit... Other than just a little hostility the same goes for you.
Thanks for checking the grow out... there will be a little more to see in the near future.

I really wish I would have picked up 2 packs of these. I need at least 4 females to choose from to get a great selection... While I feel like #1 is a great plant and I will be keeping it (goodbye PSBC NL), I feel like I shorted myself by only selecting from 2 females... it's just not enough... I wish I would have kept that 3rd plant... not sure why I let it go. I know it is steep, but if you are serious about finding a killer mother with a great selection, pickup 2 packs... I suspect I missed out on a good chunk of the gene pool. Damn. And yes, I would have been willing to pay $400 for two packs (6 seeds).

So, G13 1 is hanging right now... I'm feeling really good about this plant.. I am very confident I will be keeping #1 around.
It has a nice smell... I'm really anxious to try this bud out in 4-5 days. It looks like it will beat my current highest yielding plant on this round. After dialing it in.. no question, it will be kill my highest yielding plant and not lacking in quality... This plant got a little shadowed by some SSH plants. From a g/m2 perspective though... it killed it.
potency is yet to be determined, but smell and appearance is very good... Those folks calling it average must have got unlucky with their 3 seeds. Say I had gotten 2 plants that were equal quality to what #2 looks like... I would prbly be saying the same thing... average. Like I said before... 2 plants to choose a mother from is just not enough if you don't have a little luck on your side.

G13 #1 productive branching is the best I have seen... very very productive... The plant branches out just enough to give itself room and fills up with large buds from top to bottom. I am very impressed. I feel very confident that a monoculture (low fuss horizontal garden) of G13 1 could produce over 1.25 LB per 600 hps of high quality buds in just 8.5 weeks.. for me, that is unreal. Something i never thought I would see, but it is looking very likely at this point..

#2 is still an enormous freak... I didn't keep up on the N and it has gone pretty yellow... my bad. It looks like it needs another 2 weeks, easy. I would have kept feeding it higher N had I known that it would take 12 weeks to finish (what it is looking like) ENORMOUS plant though... I would love to see a monster of this outdoors...
If I don't keep it around (doubtful... too big, fungus and mold potential, I use raw outdoor air) I will def convince a friend or two to take a cut and put it outdoors... Jesus, that would be a site to see. It really looks... unnatural... like looking at the photos it looks like someone photoshop'd it. Ganjelephantitis... haha. A complete freak..

Here are a few shots of GC #1. I'll add some dry shots soon. Then a G13 #2 update in the next week or so. I'm trying to green it up a little first.

Good lord those buds are ridiculous lol. How dense are they? They don't look super super dense, but they also don't look like fluff.... damn.
It's sort of hard to explain... so like, the colas are many many buds that have a good amount of space between each bud... The BUDS themselves are pretty dense actually, but the way they space to fill the cola makes for not so dense cola... However, this plant has weeks to go. I suspect those colas fill and dense up. Hopefully they keep a little spaced as I am really worried about some bud rot/mold/fungus taking hold. They are so big and it has been raining day and night here lately. It's pretty humid. Hopefully it all goes well. I moved the #2 to a tent with some other plants that are finishing up, it has a ton of room and a good angle on the circulation fan. It should all work out...

3 seeds for $200?fucking bullshit!
Haha. It's no joke... luckily, no one is making you buy them... I have no regrets. I've got a plant that will be worked for years to come. Small price to pay.. my only regret is working just one pack... I wish I would have picked up a second one, enabling me to pick from a little bit more of the gene pool. I prefer 6 females to choose from... narrow it down to two, grow them both a few rounds as a monoculture, then keep one for years. THAT is how you get the best buds... it's ALL about the genetics. haha.

I hear you though... there are so many beans out there that will produce quality dank at US$2-3 a piece. I've got a couple mothers from seeds at that price. (PSBC NL and SSH Beanho)
I can say though that i haven't come across anything that yields like this yet... $66.66 a seed though, yup.. it's no joke. If you wanna see RIDICULOUS.... check out Doggiez Nuts.. They go under another name too... I forget. All of the genetics are like "banana" "orange" "apple"... haha. Funny stuff. "Gotz ta get ma handz on dat apple yo" haha...

I'm a nerd for genetics dude... some people will pay ridiculous money to meet a Star Trek cast member. I'll pay steep to get some genetics that will produce the most freakishly large plant I have ever seen and are a part of cannabis lore... To be honest, I would have paid more. What I would not have done is paid what Dr GT reportedly paid for the g13 cut.... Now that is crazy... He must be a genetic nerd too. haha. Looking at his lineup, I've got much respect for Dr GT and am willing to pay for his beans.. Gruberz journals... great stuff from Dr GT.

great stuff all around...posts and pictures. Really impressed with you as a grower and as a straight up dude. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more journals from you.
Thanks Gruber... I have a Neville's Haze x S Tooth 3 (Beanhoarder) journal I will be doing this fall. Hopefully I will get into some more Dr GT this fall too. C99, chem #4, Sour D... all very appealing.
This G13 #2 is still to come as well. It should be a freak show, haha. Then the last 2 killing fields plants are coming down soon.
I gotta get back to your chem #4 journal to see where it is at. It is def on my list.
As I've told you before... your work is muuuch appreciated. Great journals you are putting up all over the web.

Mid Week 11

I spoke to soon on the resin content of #2. It is really packing on resin late... It looks like the quality will be up there with #1... It still looks like it could take up to 12 weeks... I am wondering which will yield more in the end... #1 or #2... #1 took only 9 wks, #2 is so large it just might still yield more.

I am still very happy I picked these up... wishing I had gotten a second pack still though. My worries about budrot/mold are fading. This plant spreads itself out enough to keep good airflow. If I kept the leaves nice and green'd up I would not have the weeping leaves in there making me worry. So, #2 really doesn't seem as fragile in the mold way like I had thought.

looks great.
i got the bud rot on one of mine but it actually had the thinner buds of the two i did. For some reason the leaves went yellow on me very early and i think the mold got in from some rotting leaves. My other one with the huge buds was fine so i think you will be ok as well.
The G13 is still my yield record...12zips from one plant. I came close on a giant 7 foot Nevilles Haze that took 14 weeks but still fell one zip short at 11. For such short squat plants they sure do pack it on.

G13 #1 has been in the jar now for about 1 week. It is starting to smell really nice. Normally when you think grassy you think bad.. but this smells really nice. It is sweet with a mellow almost sour fresh green grass smell. It's unique to me, I like it.

#1 after 1 week drying and 1 week of being in mason jars.

I wish I would have gotten better pics of the G13 #1 buds. That pic sort of sucked.
Man, grrreat smoke though. The people calling this average obviously caught a bad bit of the gene pool. It got passed around amongst some friends and much enjoyed.
Very relaxing smoke. Most indicas make me super tense, paranoid and anti-social. The G13 got me very very stoned without much tension or paranoia. Much like some hashplant and Deep Chunk I have enjoyed in the past.
My indica loving friends are all about it and anxious for it to be produced again. Although I am a Sativa guy, I can appreciate this plant and this smoke.

It's on... G13 #1 has bumped my NLights plant to the garbage. #1 is about to be put to work as one of my 2 main producers. I'm really looking forward to a G13 1800 watt, 12 plant grow.
I might as well journal it... These selection journals are fun and all, but they are also a huge mess. I really like to show off a clean monoculture of a great plant. I can show a clear picture of yield and stature with the monoculture.

I will watch if you do the 12 plant grow with great interest. It would also be cool to see a 1 huge plant 1800 watt grow to see what can be pulled from it...............

My friend had some G13 that i gave him a long time ago and he brought it over tonight. It had lost its flavor from long term bad storage but it still had plenty of kick to it. We had a great time. Of course we segued into some Chemdawg about an hour after but smoking the G13 made me want to run it again.

Haha. 1800 watt plant. I would like to see that too.
The plants were put to flower as clones at just 7 inches tall. With some veg time I could easily do less than 4 plants per 600. The no veg time from a production view is great though. The plant that I am sort of comparing or judging g13 too is my Green Crack plant. It takes 3-4 weeks veg to do a little less than what G13 does with 1 week of veg. The GC is doing 1 LB per 600 at 4 plants per 600. I am expecting G13 to do 1.25 LB per light on my first run with 1 week veg... we'll see.

#2 is finished... freak plant. Put to flower at 7 inches this plant looks like it has to be over a half LB...? I don't have much to compare it to. I've never had anything get anywhere near this big. Just guessing something like 9 oz... It's not super dense, but there are about 10-15 buds that are larger than a wine bottle and then many golf ball sized buds in closer to the main stem. I'll know the yield in a couple weeks.

It put out some new growth with new white pistils maybe 2 weeks ago. I was waiting for these pistils to turn brown but I saw that everything behind this new growth is very ripe. More ripe than I usually take it actually. One of my Haze plants does this too. I think this plant was ready to harvest a few weeks ago.. I was busy with all the Killing Fields 1-6/NL/SSH and G13 1 and this plant sort of got shoved in a corner. So.. tmrw it comes down.

I'm pretty excited about this one. I had friends hounding me for the G13 #1.. I didn't get to indulge as much as I wanted to. This plant is big enough that there is plenty to go around though. #1 had some very unique traits that I hope to see in this #2 plant. That smell especially.

I'll have more to say later after some up close and personal time at the trim table.. Also after I shake this flu. The garden has been getting neglected lately while I've been trying to sleep it off.
