Great grow Hank.
How much did plant #1 stretch ? what do you figure your height was at the start of 12/12 and finish ?..
I normally run 4 plants in a 4x4 but Im going to grow 9 g13s this go round to cut down on veg time. I havent played in a SOG in a while :)

I wonder what the g13 haters have to say now. I really have to buy some g13 seeds now. I herd dr greenthumbs g13 is the real one. He got the clone from. Ortega I believe and he got it from doubleds. How many phenos you think is inside her? Looks killer. 18% thc is crazy nuts thoe

I don't know why greenthumb gets so much hate I have always had good results from his gear

It's funny you ask. On this second go round I sort of learned something about veg time/height/container size/finished height.

I put the first cut in at 6-7 inches tall, filling out a 1 qt pit pretty well. The plant finished out at about 3 feet tall.

I put a second round of cuts in at about 12-14 inches tall, heavily filling out a 1 qt part. The plant is topping out at about 3 feet tall.

So, I learned that veg height tells you less about what your finished height will be, container size tells you more.

You need very little veg time with G13 (that I saw) though. You can go from a rooted clone (cube), to a 1 qt pot for 2 weeks, then to a 3 gal pot straight to flower for a 3 foot tall plant.

9 per 1000hps sounds about right. In the future, I will transplant from clone to 2/3 gallon container for 20 days, then to a 5 gal flower container and expect 4 foot tall plants, at least.

I have no clue. I got a good look at two different plants from his G13 seeds and they both were pretty amazing in their own way.
If I could go back I would have definitely picked up multiple packs.

The potency in #1 is very good. It is a crowd favorite with the indica loving folks.

Yeah, I know. It seems like most of his critics haven't even tried his seeds. I don't know... I always saw people talk negative about him in the past. I'm not the type to jump on that train... I tried my first Greenthumb seeds with this pack of G13 and I'm now a big fan.

These shots of my #1 are from day 20 of flower. They really put on the weight early.
I'm thinking that with this grow, focusing on the just growing #1, I am going to kill it on yields..
In the future with a veg in a 2/3 gallon container I think I can bump it up even more.

My pictures are terrible, but, I pulled the main cola back away from the light and tied to the cage about 1 week ago. I've had good results with that little method in the past and it looks like G13 responds pretty well to it too.

I'm pretty sure this 8 plant 1200 watt G13 grow is going to break my current yield record...
I've killed it with some 12-14 wk haze plants... but at oz/week, I expect this to be a record breaker for me. The test #1 plant finished in 8.5 weeks. I'm thinking it might be done in 8 this go... we'll see.

I'm not going to continue this as a full journal or anything. But when there are some of the G13 #1 clones in the flower room I'll throw up some pics.. maybe some harvest pics too. There are not too many G13 journals around and people seem to be interested.

I'm into genetics for the long haul... it takes me a solid 18 months from the day I crack the seeds to get where I am really wanting to be... that being holding a nice mother that I know in and out, killing yields and getting quality smoke with minimal effort. This G13 plant grows very similar to another mother so they make good companion plants when I want a little more variety.

This plant grows a lot like my Green Crack plant, but better. I love the huge buds on the side growth. That side growth is larger and more productive than all but one my other plants top main growth.
I'll do more pics once there is more to see.

And this time, I will get some good dried shots. That last pic I took of the dried buds was pitiful. Really nice buds. Quality is not sacrificed for the high yields. Family members were loving the buds, so they got spread around pretty quick. I didn't get a chance to get some good dried shots. This time, I have a little more than one plant, so, I'll get some good shots.

I took a quick peak... Bubba? Sweet. I'm still working on that Bubba OG. I have 8 cuts from 8 plants in a dome right now... I can't wait to get that going.

Here are a few more lights off photos. Next photo I will put a Bic in there for size reference.
On harvest day, I will take them out of the tent to get a clear picture... At 4 per light they all sort of just look like a blob of buds.

If there is, I have not seen it yet.

My green crack S1 plant comes pretty close but the g13 beats it. The G13 also wins in density, potency, smell and taste when compared to the green crack plant I have.

I am about to get a more clear picture of what this plant can do. I have only harvested 1 plant so far. This multiple plant grow was a good learning experience. I am following it up with another right after harvest. I expect to really nail that crop.. coming close to the plants full potential. I am expecting that full potential to be over 18 oz from a 600 hps.
I think wil get 18 from this grow which was done well, but there is room for improvement.

For the next crop, I am going to try out larger plants. (larger pot for veg).

I was expecting G13 to be one of those plants that yields really well but quality is sort of lacking (Critical Mass/Big Bud). This is not at all the case. Quality is very good.

Early week 7
These 8 plants were under 1800 watts with 3 sativa plants that started a while ago.
All 3 sativas were harvested, so the 8 G13 plants that were under 1200 watts were spread out under 1800 watts.
After 5 days of this extra room they really bulked up.
