Yo Flo love the setup!
You've got me fiending for a Scrog/vertical hybrid design.. Its my second grow and max efficiency is the name of the game.Would this be advisable in a 3'x3'x6' area? Like maybe a 600W hung vertical with a bowl-shaped secreen below?

My first issue is which indica-dominant strain would suit best..I'm leaning towards either;

Cheese, White shark/widow/rhino from Greenhouse Seeds

Or maybe LSD from Barney's? ( thc content is supposedly 24%!?)
Want a serious indo with a little sativa depth..if you know what I mean..

Anyway I was going to just get a 400W HPS for the 3'x3'x6' flower room ( as well as a 250W MH for veg) but now I'm thinking a 600W HPS would be the better investment as the operation may expand.

The first batch will be from seed but I'm hoping to set up a screen of green with 9-12 of the best clones- will 600W HPS be enough/too much for them when they're still little in a small flowering room?

As for the practicalities of a vertical ScrOG... Do you allow the plants, once flowering and sexed, to grow up under the screen and the growth be pushed out horizontally.. and THEN allow the plants to grow through the screen and trim away lower (hopefully un-lit) branches?

Really want to get this shit right, any advice would be seriously appreciated!

Much love to y'all, indofiends and sativa maniacs both

a 600 is gonna be your best bet for efficiency and makes some nice nugs..

i donno about a vertical scrog.. never tried it.. the best teacher is experimentation.

ive been growing for years, and this is my 3rd round in this setup and im still experimenting with it, trying to learn its nuances.. its all a big learning game, just like life!

glad you joined us, keep us updated on your progress

so im kinda in a predicament.. it seems that whenever i run my co2, and humidity/temps get high, i tend to get condensation on my window outside.. i do not like this..

i know condensation is caused by excess water in warm air, coming into contact with a cold surface (window) so i am wondering that if i lower my humidity, while keeping the temp high, will this eliminate the condensation? has anyone ever had this problem?

i grow in warmer climates indoor with low humidity but you should probably get a dehumidifier, condensation on windows is a good clue for police that theres a grow op goin on

im not worried about police, cuz this is a legal grow, but i dont want condensation forming and rotting out my window sills LOL.. i think if i lower the humidity i shouldnt have any condensation problems.. i guess when i hook up my air conditioner it should do the job. one way to find out

Yeah, the condensation will go away with the lowering of the humidity level. from what I read, 60% humidity, 78 degrees is the goal for the plants. Mold & bad things happens in too much humidity. An AC lowers the humidity, but keeping the temp at 78, with AC??? A dehumidifier is what most do. I did read in the DIY web site, home made dehumidifier, one was a sack of this chemical stuff, hang some in cloth sack & put a water catcher underneath the hanging sack. The stuff sucks the moisture out of the air & drips into a catch bucket.

ya thats whats ideal for veg, but ill be transitioning to flowering soon.. then ill want around 35 percent humidity.. but with co2 im running temps in the 85-90 range so running an ac a little bit should keep the humidity down around perfect levels.. or so i hope.. if not its to hope de pot for a dehumidifier as well LOL

you will find you need a dehumidfier
hopefully the ac does not run 24/7so thgere for will not be dehimdfieing all the time
and once all them girls are in flowering you will be able to watch humidity rise to 80% or higher in 1 hour tops whith ac off

not to mention night cycles where hopefully your ac will get a few hours of rest

dehumidifier is a must whith sealed room bongsmilie

ya i dont think the AC is gonna have to work very hard, so ill go to home depot and get a dehumidifier.. im gonna start flowering on monday, all my clones are rooted so im getting em all hooked up in rockwool cubes and setting up the ebb n flo table.. should be a fun show to watch
