i've seen the BudXL in action....and without it as well......it does work!!!

and their Root Excellarator is supposed to be some good shit too....all their shit is expensive, but its worth it cuz its hella concentrated and very very stable like Canna i hear. Canna is my favorite favorite nutrient so far!!!

no, i am using the aqua flakes a+b because supposedly it is more stable in recirculating systems

right now the additives i am using is roots excelerator which fucking rocks for real, texashydroponics.com has it for 50 bucks a bottle which is like half of what my hydro store charges,

and im also using drip clean.. drip clean is what keeps the salts from building up in your medium and your drains. it literally leeches the salts out of your medium so every time they get fed they are begging for more. and supposedly you have to use it from clone otherwise if you tried to add it in your regimine at the end it would shock the shit out of the plants and send them in to convulsions LOL

i will also be using the top booster, the bud xl, and the shooting powder. im not too worried about using the enzyme or the algen extract cuz i dont think its needed for my application.

but it is true, this shit is so clean it is rediculous. ive been running for 3 weeks and my res is sparkling clean, no salt buildup in my gutters or bottoms of my buckets. when i was using GH i had to scrub my gutters once a weeek, and clean my res every change, but with the house and garden i dont have to do either, which in itself is worth it to me..

and i do like canna myself, but what sold me on HG (along with how clean it is) is the fact that the man who started HG actually formulated canna, bio bizz, and a couple other nutrient companies lines.. i figure if he formulated their shit, his has to be as good if not better right? the other deal is they are the only nute company that has a full scientific staff and labratory, and they do every aspect of manufacturing in house.

so far my plants look absolutely amazing, i cant complain one bit

for your end sentences Flo....that is exactly why im switching

those bottles dont resemble each other for no reason

plus i heard H & G is more concentrated then my dear Canna...so i think i may keep two lines on hand...maybe Canna and House and garden

im running a modified gh3 for my aero this run. using hammerhead with it too. but like you said that damn salt is a bitch!!!!

it is a tad more concentrated than canna, but nothing too substantial. the main difference is that if you look at how canna is formulated, it was designed to be used with mid grade tap water, which is why when you run it with RO water you have to run it with calmag or you will get problems (somewhat strain dependant) HG was formulated to run with RO water, so it in itself is a truly complete nutrient line..

the odd thing about HG is when you mix the A+B the ph drops to like 3.9 or so, then you have to ph it up to 5.8, then add the additives.. this threw me off a little at first, but i guess the ph of the water in the uk is really high or something, but either way i cant complain with the results thus far

hey flojo, sick vert grow op you got going on. With those 6inch rockwool cubes are you able to flower all the way through with just that? And how often do you water with them?

right now on my 18 hr cycle i water about 4 times a day, and ill start with 3 times a day once i start flowering ill eventually bring it to 4-6 times a day.

and yes i can flower all the way through with the 6 inch blocks.. they are plenty big

so in the 6" cubes you water for 15 mins 3 times do you put them in a bed of hydrton in the buckets or just the cube, got any pics? why'd you switch from hydrton?

i just use the cubes nothing else..

and i switched because i didnt wanna have to clean all of em right before i move out, and i didnt have as large of a root mass as i wanted to have due to the angle of the pots. with the rockwools wicking effect it will have a larger surface area of medium that gets wet, and in turn a larger mass of roots.. on my last grow the root masses were about the size of a fist and a half, wheras with this grow they will be twice that size.

plus i just like rockwool for some reason.. its what i started hydro with and i know it well

yea i got rid of the gnats. i still see a few fly around here and there.. but thats odd cuz i have never had a problem with them in rockwool. i use block covers and good air flow to keep em away. my gnat problem was from the babies in soil, who then reproduced by the billions and made their way to my hydro kids

gnats just like the moisture.... they arent really a problem unless they get too unruly

they dont seem to like sm90...

they like to get in my coco as well...until i nuke em

FLoJo

ya they dont like sm90 for sure, or bug bombs and high levels of co2 haha

the good thing about the big blocks is that the tops never get wet, so its not really inviting for the gnats.. i do have a couple in soil in there, but im going to be feeding them with nematodes once i start flowering.. nematodes love gnats haha

they havent seemed to like the dry rockwool with the covers, but have hovered around the soilers in there.. if they get outta hand ill just gas em out with the co2 now that i have it haha its war bitches

yea i've heard if i put some RW over the top of the coco they dont like it....

but shit, i dont even like the stuff...lol
