Had to for unfortunate reason stick her where she is. Whole nother story loooooong lol

Sounds like your plant has been through more life adversity then most of the humans I've come across haha. That's great how resilient they are after hearing that heart drop of a growing moment. Keeps me confident in my first grow knowing how strong these plants are. Well good luck on the finish and outcome, thank you for your share. I'll remember to keep an eye out for you to see the end result!

I ended up being able to tuck about 3 fan leaves under some of the lower bud sites if anyone was wondering. I was a little rough and ended up knocking a leaf off during the tucking but it was a tiny leaf. Lesson learned=Be gentle.

Checked her after lights came on she more amber now watered her last time once she drys out CHOP CHOP!!! She’s about 70% milky and 10% clear and 20% amber crazy how at the end and after 4 hr darkness the amber jumped that much so give or take 2 days she’s coming down after tm I’ll put her into darkness for 24hrs and then Tiiiiimmmmber lol

Very pretty. I'd like to see some pics of your nugs in some natural light after your harvest when and if you get a chance :)

So this is the last pics of the lady b4 chop she’s in her 24hr dark some ppl do longer this is just what I do. She’s going to super tasty as her sisters were and very medicating ⛽

Hell Yeah! How exciting. I can't wait to make it to that point. How do you do the trimming and curing after you chop and dry? My wife and I want to do half wet half dry trimming to see the difference. We like pretty looking nugs. And for the curing I planned on just doing the mason jar/burp method. What's your process like?

I hang the whole plant and usually after a few days the big fan leaves fall off or the lightest touch it falls. Sometimes I wet trim I have at least a few zips of some Green Gelato and Critical Purple from last harvest so I’ll dry trim and be very anal with trimming it lol...while heavily medicated After that I throw into mason jars and burp them every 8 or so hours and I dump whole jars out. Once Buds nice and crispy to the touch but still squishy but forms back I’ll put Boveda 62% packs in. I can tell already there going to be hard nugs some big some small but all are rock hard already. I lowered my terps last week to like 72-73 day and like 68 at lights off so it’s actually easier to trim the hard nugs imo. But I’ll post picks 9:30 tm morning she’s coming down. Ow and this is just me I notice when you leave all or most leaves on during dry it preserves the terps and I definitely taste the flavor difference but again that’s just me. Whatever works for you is all that matters long as your happy with the end product all that matters it your medicine why I love this plant and hobby very very rewarding

I live trim, meaning while roots are still in dirt. Usually in stages over a period of days near harvest so I don’t work myself to exhaustion.
I do this because fan and sugar leaves wrap around the flowers as they dry, making trimming more tedious. This method delivers dispensary ready nugs with the least amount of effort.
After 2 or 3 haircuts they get another day of light, then a few days of darkness and absolutely no more water. Let the drying begin! And with it a last ditch effort by her to produce cannabinoids. Her roots tell her she’s still alive but she’s knows it’s almost over, so she pushes hard to become pollinated.
I prefer to hang whole plants, and he’s where I’m a weirdo, I sometimes shake excess soil (now dry) off the roots, and plastic bag them up tight so soil doesn’t fall onto the flowers when I invert the entire plant and hang it. Why leave the roots? Just my theory... I know it slows the drying process down and that’s good for a taste. Flavor begins in the dirt! Adds nothing to psychoactivity.
RH around 60% in the drying room.
Jar ‘em up once they’re smokable but springy.
DO NOT OVERDRY!! YOU’ll CRY. No THC difference but you will have lost flavor, and the slightest flame incinerates the bud. I detest cannabis dust, which is about half of what’s available in stores

Thank you Father Ramirez! Your post got me even more excited. I haven't reached the finish line yet so I don't want to overthink it too much yet. I just woke up so I'll have to re-read this after my day gets going with some caffeine coursing through me. Thank you! I'll be sure NOT to let it dry out too much as I don't like weed dust myself. I'll probably end up doing some sort of hybrid style process of trimming and curing to try and work in all of your methods. We'll see :)

Here’s a pick of how much leaf I leave on plant and how they usually look. Like I said every little bit of info and pics helps. The last pick to me is crazy the root ball was still in soil when I ripped it out but it got prittey massive and healthy. But the fact the stalk was the little skinny bottom branch which probably would have gotten trimmed off when I cleaned her up in veg became this prittey thick and big stalk. She definitely would have been an even bigger girl had that light not of fallen onto her snapping the original main stalk. Like I said she was already 4-5 nodes big at like 9-10 days. And soil just realized I never mentioned that was Royal Gold Kings Mix and I ran the Lucas Formula at 1/2 strength usually autos you should use 1/4 but imo autos have come a long way and good genetics can be treated like there sisters siblings(photos) cheers if this helps anymore? Next time I post will be when trimmed and jarred

Just reading through the thread. One suggestion especially since you live in Cali and are on a budget.. Craigslist is your friend. Theres usually 3 or 4 blowout deals on the LA CL from ppl who have shut down their huge commercial grow and everything you could ever want from lights to fans to unused nutes. Sometimes just small home grows. But either way nothing wrong with 2nd hand gear especially when you are just starting out.
