dont forget if your using tap water to consider what the starting ppm is. if its 200ppm then your solution if your shooting for 300ppm of nutes should be 500ppm. also take rosemans post about grow room temps into very serious thought. I feel that if you can control your enviroment than there is no need to have to give your girls things they dont need and you can prevent most of the problems most likely to happen. On my first grow my temps were a little high due to the 600w hps as far as room temps go they werent really that bad but it did cause my res temps to rise and be boarder line if not a little high. so I concentrated on keeping my res temps in control with ice bags and what not. I never had to use peroxide or anything of the sort my roots were always happy. Im not saying not to use peroxide because I have no experience with it and am not an expert on the issue but I do know that it does kill bacteria which some of is actually beneficial so I feel if you can go without it that would be better plus I use organic nutes and apparently thats a big no no to use peroxide with organics. so I guess Im just trying to say that if you can control your enviroment you will cut out alot of problems to start and have to rely on less failsafes. goodluck with your grow. peace.

Here are the new day 3 of growing pictures i just took. I bought a tds meter, peroxide, a humidifier, and some tiger bloom today. I checked my ppm's and it said around 580 is that a good number? Also my pH is back up to 6.4 again should i rechange another gallon of water?
A ppm of 580 is higher then we've been recommending (300-400 ppm), but your clones can probably handle it in my opinion.

Like I said on page 3, I would not recommend chasing your pH. Let your pH stabilize; not everybody's will stabilize at the same number. Mine's 6.25, yours is 6.4. They're both higher then conventional wisdom state's is "best"; however they are both within the range necessary to uptake all required nutrients. I wouldn't worry UNLESS it continued to rise.

You can chase the pH all you want by dumping pH down in, but in my experience the pH will climb back up to it's "sweet spot", until you dump in enough pH down that it "pops" and the pH shifts drastically the other way. The plants don't like this - their leaves get all twisty.

IN MY OPINION, it is much better to let your pH sit at a certain number - even if it's at the high or low end of the effective pH range - then it is to try to maintain an "optimal" pH by continuously adding pH up/down.:peace:

Day 3 Pics any advise. I have 580 ppm and 6.4 pH.
It looks like to me that your clones are either in shock or over-watered. By over-watered, I mean the roots aren't getting enough oxygen.

If you're running a water pump with tubing up to the pots, you need to slow down the output to a fast drip if you can. Or consider putting the pump on a timer. The roots need to breath.

Also add the 3% peroxide at 2 tsp per gallon. This will help oxygenate the roots. It will help if they are in shock, as well.

Check your reservoir water temperature, you want it below 76*; below 70* is better.

The twisty leaves you can see in the last couple of pictures may be from pH fluxuations.

Hey man I don't know if you are going to have a heat issue with your rez using a fogger but it you do I found this vid on a DIY fogger that could easily be adapted to your system. Hope it helps.

I now have my drip system hooked up and my air stones hooked up. I also have 10 total cfl grow lights. I have 4 x 24 watt daytime, 4 x 24 watt soft white and 2 x 65 soft white. I am using foxfarm nutrients but am not sure how to mix it yet because my little ph kit color isn't to specific but i am going to buy a ph meter today:). I also am going to purchase fans for the room along with a ultra sonic foger that will be here next week. Please give me advise as of what more i need or how to get my pump to stay put in the tank. I am going to pick up my clones today so please post as much as possible even if it is criticism.

Thanks you guys for the advise. I am going to just change out my reservoir right now to the proper ppm levels and with a 1/4 amount of nutrient. After i change the reservior i am going to buy some liquid seaweed. Today i woke up and saw my leaf has a deformation. Can someone tell me what i should do to fix that leaf or will me changing the reservoir change that?

You have a transpiration problem, they are over fed, and they need high humidity, is my guess. They are the size for half to 3/4 dose of nutes. Are you over feeding them, perhaps? What is the humidity? If you gave them FULL nutes, then drain a gallon or two gallons of water out and replace it with plain pH balanced water.

Let me know what the humidity is.

Thanks Roseman. My humidity is around 55-65% on average and the temp is from 77 during the day and reaches 84 sometimes. I am going to change my nutes to 1/2 dose today. Also do you think i should use the seaweed kelp and if so how should i use it. Also how often should i be spraying my plants with water? Your the best Roseman

Man, I have no knowledge ro experience with the kelp.

I mist daily, and they love it. I first raise my lights so I don't wet them, and I keep an oscilating fan on them too.

Ok so first of all i had to change reservoirs because my old reservoir had glue in some parts and would mix in with my nutes so it harmed my plants. I created a new reservoir from buying a tote storage box from target for like 6.99, drilled holes with a hole saw 3", and drilled holes for air tubes and that was it. The new system is much better and higher quality manufactured. I also reset my nutrients back to 1/4 and have a little under 400 ppm's. I am not sure if my ph meter is working but it read 5.8 when i refilled. I also picked up 3 new clones today from the club and really excited about them. I got 2 straight OG clones and one Super OG clone. So in total i have 4 blackberry kush clones, 1 sour desiel, 1 super og, and 2 OG. Please tell me how the grow room is looking. The only reall problem i have is trying to cool down the room because it is getting hot.

I'm no expert, I'm only a few days ahead of you, however I'm pretty sure that lid is a massive nono.

It's going to be letting in light which will cause root rot, you need to masking tape that baby up, you can see how I've done mine here https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/245449-about-start.html (input from anyone greatly appreciated)

As I say I'm no expert, I'd just like to think I've read a lot and have a decent understanding, I ope one of the vets can confirm that I'm right.

Thanks for the advise i think i may change it today or tomorrow. When should i cut my leaves. Should i cut off the infected leafs or just leave them??

Bro, I just keep watching you make mistake after mistake, and it is lack of knowledge and lack of reading. You'll be lucky to get a harvest if you continue going like you are going.
I have a Tutorial, a how to, step by step with pics here:Roseman's DIY Bubbleponics Tutorial - Marijuana Growing

and if you would skip over the bullshit and hi-jacking and posts by the newbies and just read what I posted, it will not take you long to learn. It shows you how to make lid covers, prevent algae, control heat, raise humidity, etc

I am unsubscribing here.
