First Time DWC Grow EVER LOTS OF PICS BUT NEED HELP. PLEASE POST

I now have my drip system hooked up and my air stones hooked up. I also have 10 total cfl grow lights. I have 4 x 24 watt daytime, 4 x 24 watt soft white and 2 x 65 soft white. I am using foxfarm nutrients but am not sure how to mix it yet because my little ph kit color isn't to specific but i am going to buy a ph meter today:). I also am going to purchase fans for the room along with a ultra sonic foger that will be here next week. Please give me advise as of what more i need or how to get my pump to stay put in the tank. I am going to pick up my clones today so please post as much as possible even if it is criticism.

Thanks a Million. I think i am going to purchase either a 90watt led for 150 or a 400 watt agrostart for 200. What do you think i should purchase and do you also think that the 400 watt will heat up the room?

I filled my 10 Gallon Reservior with 5 gallons of water/nutrients. I used 5 teaspoons of grow big and 6 table spoons of big bloom. I set my pH to 5.8 also. Please tell me if im on the right track. If you are growing in south Texas your humidity should be high enough, unless it is San Antonio or further to the west. In this case you could get a regular humidifier from walmart or if you don't want to spend the money, like me, you could get a large bowl of water and aim one of the fans toward it. Both of these should up your humidity, but there are mixed reviews about whether a higher humidity level is good or not. In general a plant must create more resin to protect itself from burning in a low humidity environment, but some plants do not grow as well in low humidity. This is an endless debate. Personally, I just use the bowl method in my grow room whenever humidity gets to low, but for some reason, probably due to the home drainage vent, my attic is much more humid than the rest of my house so I dont have to worry about this. Check the weather. If your average humidity is around 30-50% you should be ok.

I think you should back off the nutes a little bit since they are fresh clones. I have no experience with clones but I assume you want to start them off slowly like 1/4 strength at first. Hopefully someone who has more experience with clones will chime in. Are you supposed to use big bloom during vegetative growth?

If you're running on a budget, you can definitely use CFLs your whole grow. Your buds will not be super-tight, but it's your first time anyway, and things are bound to go wrong in some places. Have you read Roseman's DIY tutorial?? I suggest you do if you haven't yet, tons of good info on budget hydro!

Those are additives, they'll do you a lot of good but aren't totally necessary

Nice setup - I can tell you did your research - +rep for that!

Foxfarms has a feeding schedule that you can follow located here:

http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/hydrofeed.pdf

They recommend 1 teaspoon Grow Big and 2 teaspoons Big Bloom per gallon for cuttings, for a ppm of around 800. The clone's could probably handle that, but it's a little strong for my tastes. I would recommend 1/2 that level until your clones get established and show new growth, then I would go at 3/4 of their recommended levels for the rest of the grow unless the plants gave some kind of indication that they wanted more.

You can get a humidifier from WalMart pretty cheap. You'll probably only need to use it for a couple of weeks; once your plants start drinking and get lots of leaves the humidity will go up by itself.

EDIT: Read the Hydroponic feeding tips in the link I gave - in there they recommend 1/4 strength of the first week strength for clones, which is different from the chart they give. The first week strength that they recommend is 1200 ppm, so 1/4 of that is 300 ppm which is what I was calling for in the first place. Confusing, ain't it? 1/4 strength is about 3 teaspoons Grow and 7 teaspoons Bloom for 5 gallons.

Thnx for the advise guys on the nutrients and also about the hydro stuff. Yes have read rosemans tutorial a million times and study that thing like crazy. I think i am going to go to the hydro store this week and pick up that three nutrient pack to add to my plants. Do you guys think it would be ok if i added those botanicare nutrients the second week forward or should i just stick with the foxfarm?:blsmoke:

Perfect then im right on for my nutes. I gave them 5 teaspoons of grow big and 6 Tablespoons of big bloom. Also my Nutes pH changed from 5.8 to 6.4. Should i drain a gallon and replace a gallon with 5.5 pH and 1/5 nutes to balance it out?
