First Grow: DIY Bubbleponics (Bagseed)

nice lt! the purp i like and i heard its okay if you want the purp to let your temps get a lil cold and it wont hurt your plants. but i agree without riu my grow wouldnt of made it past the veg.

Just make sure you say "timber" when you cut those! Might hurt someone if they fall on them! Purple is fine and kind of fun and like crackadelic says it's usually from colder temps but in some cases it's just how a strain finishes. Good for bag appeal too!

Thanks guys. They really are trees at this point MC! It would be so cool to have some purps, even if it is from stress due to cold temps. Purpls bud always looks appealing in the bag! So how much longer do you think the big girl has left?

wats up lt. u ain't lyin about purp havin bag appeal. dumbasses around me are willin to pay 70+ just becuz they see purp. they don't know that most indica strains will turn purple if exposed to cold temps even if u tell them this they don't care it's like the color purple adds this magical quuality to the weed. at any rate good lookin shit man and by the way my going rate for handin out ass whoopens is currently at a bargain price of $100 bucks. and i'd actually probably do it for free since those scum deserve to eat curb and i'd love to be the one to serve it to em.

You know I go by trichs and that's the same on the big girl. What do they say? By looking at the pics I'd say not too long. A week maybe two. Are the caylx swelling? They look to be.

They are just starting to swell, the trichs are all still clear, and just a handful of hairs have turned brown. I'm thinking probably 2 more weeks.

Just go with that as a harvest estimate and watch the trichs like you're doing. The excitement is killing me!

I turn to 12/12 tomorrow night. Hooking up the 400 and the 250 and gonna let them get big. Time to flower for me! I saw preflowers! Whoopee! Cutting in 8 weeks, then 10 weeks, then 12-13week ( three different strains in three different set-ups). Luckily I still have a couple of o's from my last grow in August ( supplemented by some commericial weed I got for some of my air buds and sharzees on some blender hash). I should end up with 6 or 7 fems all growing at once but finishing staggered and get around 3 o's per plant if things continue to go well. I had one leaf on 9 plants that has nute burn and I call that a win! OK the rest of the nute burned leaves fell off but I did that early! LOL!

Just did turn on the 400 and the 250 (turn off tomorrow at 8pm) and I saw how shiney my leaves were. Kept my humidity up over 60% and sometimes 75% during veg, Just gave them a little supercrop to spread things out. Halleluia I'm in flower! Should have smokable bud by Valentines day! In the mean time I'll live vicariously!

I just chopped down my 2 small girls. Boy am I happy. They didn't produce quite as much as I had hoped, but I think the big girl will even things out when she's done. Wet weight is 120.5 grams (4.3 oz) so I will probably only get just over an ounce when it's dried. The largest bud (same as the one in my avatar) is 9.3 grams wet and I have 3 others that are between 8 and 9 grams. I saved all the trims and tiny buds that were not worth trimming, and I will make hash when they are dry. Check out the pics.

wish i could sit down and pack up some single bong hits with you!!

i went back and found that post with the thing you use to take pix of trichs and ordered it also.. great deal like you said.

That would be SWEET! I'd love to sample some of the stuff that I've seen people grow on here and meet my fellow bubbleheads.

Today is exactly 9 weeks since switch to 12/12. For those who didn't know, I harvested my two smaller girls yesterday and they are drying. My big girl is a week or two behind so the update is all about her. Buds are fillind in very nicely and are very frosty. Most buds on the plant are beginning to show slight purpling. I'm pretty sure it's from low temps, but I want to know what you all think. My low is 56 high is 65. Are these temps low enough to be harmful to my girl? Anyway, If figure she will go about 2 more weeks until I chop (I just realized that's Christmas Eve...) and she should be very purple by then. Thanks for stopping by. Check out the pics. Peace

Temps that low can cause a little purple reaction as you have now but since you are so far in flower the temps shouldn't be a problem. Got to get to around 50 for it to stop growing and would imagine that low is only right before the lights go on. It will fill out even more and you will have a tremendous harvest.!
