If you are still using gh trio.. i would mix your solution seprate from the rez.. let it set for 1 - 2 days with a air stone.. some salts will build up on the bottom of the contianer, dont desturb them and carefull syphon into your rez.. the ph will be more stable and wont swing as much.. and sometime evaporation ( like a cup a day) will cause alittle swing..
I used to run flood and drain systems for afew year using gh trio.. i aslo found you dont hardly need the gh gro nutes.. the gh micro has alot of nitrogen .. acouple friends of mine never even used it( gh gro) in their dwc setups..

I usually make a big batch when I change my rez like 16 gal. After I fill my rez there's maybe 12½ left and I use it to top off for a few days but I don't ever see build up. I'm not saying it don't I've just not see it

I do mix my nutrients in advance, usually a day or so and use an air stone in the container.
I have eliminated the GH Grow from the mix. And I am also going to reduce the amt of Micro and Bloom by 0.5 to 3 ml per gal. (sorry for the correction, I use the same amount in GH that I used with Canna when I was growing in coco.)
My goal is to get to 850 ppm.

Well, I don't have an issue needing pH Up, So I really don't know. Only have issue with too high of a pH.
Yeah i always needed ph down.. never had to up .
But that was with the gh flora series and tap water
How ever i found the oppisite for the roots organic line.. lmao!! Hole shit is that stuff acidic.

Mine has also, I can set it at 5.85 at 4 pm, by 7 it will be at 6, and if I leave it over night it will be 6.25 to 6.6 in the morning.
Last night when I checked the rez it was at 6.3 so did not add any down. This morning it was 6.41. Getting a Pod from Torus and see if I can stabilize this thing.

Thats some crazy looking tip burn in that one pic.Whats that from?
Not really sure, this is my first grow with this system, been growing in coco/perlite for 10 yrs or so. I had the nutrients and pH pegged on those grows. My later grows in coco was 3 ml Canna A&B veg through flower.
May be nutrient burn, my rez has been running 1.1 - 1.2 EC. I just added 3 gallons RO to the rez and the EC is 0.9.
The pH has also been fluctuating big time. Will be making up a new rez early next week and will be shooting for 0.8 - 0.9 EC.
Do you have any thoughts on this Myke?

Well it kinda looks like a Zinc deficiency, normally caused by pH being to high? Or too much phosphorus?

Do you use tap water?

A plant that size could be above 1EC 1.5 even. When I did hydro my pH was more stable when EC was higher. But I used Tap water around 200 ppm.

In your case Id flush it like feeding in coco,Pour from the top and wash it out with some food.
The system you have is just like ebb and flow isnt it?

No, RO, but I have had some big pH swings.
Have been using the Torus XPH cannister and the swings have been fairly constant.

Yes it is the Active Aqua Grow Flow 2.0. It is an ebb and flow system.
I like the system just don't have it dialed in yet.
My EC at 1.0 will drop to 0.8 in a week and I add back to that along with extra RO to replace what the plants have used.

Thanks for the info, I am sure I will questions before I have this system dialed in.

@myke

This is what I found online and yes mine does look like that. So I will be flushing soon. Then make up a new rez.

Not real sure how I will flush. Thinking of adding pH'ed RO over the top of the Hydroton and have the control on drain so as the flush settles in the pots and flows into the control rez. I do not want it to fill the pots up so the drain pump will begin pumping it out before it back up into the roots, in principle that is. Will do this to each pot.
