First experience with Groupon

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this topic, but I just had my first experience with Groupon. Here is my story...

I saw they had amazing deal on an expensive restaurant I wanted to try out, $200 meal for two for only $49! So I buy the coupon and then nothing...then 10 hours later it appears in my email inbox. Ok, so there is a delay when buying the coupon, not a huge problem. I then call the restaurant to make a reservation using my coupon but they tell me to go back to groupon and make the reservation on the groupon website. I go back to the website and make the reservation, but I cannot click on any of the dates on their booking calendar. Now I'm calling customer support and they tell me to click the next month, then the next month. Finally there is a date open almost 2 months later at 4pm only! At this point I ask for a refund but they can only offer a "groupon credit". I push for a refund on my credit card but still they say no. So I call my credit card company and then they tell me to read groupon's terms of service and sure enough I can only get a credit.

Upon further reading online I see they also rip off small businesses among other complaints.

Has anyone else here had an experience with groupon? Was it good or bad?

We got a groupon for 3 at an exotic wildlife park. We went to park showed Groupon and saved like 70%!on tickets. It was a small hassel applying the coupon but not bad
