First Auto Grow (Girl Scout Cookie)

I was not really sure how any of this was going to work out. I'm starting to wonder about my lighting situation. If i'm going to be able to make it to harvest numerous times, should I beef up my lighting? Get some denser nugs?

I'm using 2 300 watt LEDS, but only 246 actual watts. I could upgrade to a 400 watt HPS and use the LEDs for veg. Or I could just upgrade to a 400 watt MH/HPS combo for less than $150. Or I could be keep using the LEDs for a year and order more beans. HAHA.

If you harvest Sun i would let them dry till than. And as for lighting, 246 watts led even burples should cover 3x3 area fine.3x2 minimum.

Yeah it's been 72 hours since it was watered. I will probably harvest in the morning, right after it's 6 hours of dark.

Day 63

84 hours since watering. I'm sitting here looking at this girl, her fan leaves are drying up and curling. I woke up ready to chop.

2nd run (Day 4)

GSC and BD have both shed their shells. Exciting shit!

GSC was harvested today.

Exactly 112g wet, main cola was 27g. Very sticky. I left a small part of the plant at the bottom. Watered it to see if maybe it will fatten up some.

This stuff is very sticky and dense. I may end up with an OZ.

1/4 to 1/3 sounds right so full oz of sticky sounds good. Hope its that 1 hitter quitter shit so that low stash is actually 1 million in value XD nice grow.

Day 1 drying (12 hours)

RH 48%. Temp 74.

I have to be careful with this harvest. My RH drops to 38-40% throughout the day when the A/C is running in the house. I can run a humidifier at night but that doesn't help because it's not necessary then, it's needed when i'm not home. I don't like the thought of running a humidifier while i'm going and something going wrong and it jacking the % up too high.

Thanks for following along. This is the nicest looking plant I've grown. First time ever using something other than bag seed. guess that explains the nice results.

I'm just going to keep my auto grows going in this same journal.

What's your dry/cure technique? if you don't mind me asking Matt

Day 1 drying (24 hours)

RH 44%. Temp 74. Opening window to raise the humidity up to 55% then i'll close it. The buds are stil sticky and moist on the outside.

2nd run (Day 5)

Soil was very dry this evening. Rather than water the top of the soil, I chose to take 1.5 cups of water (per plant) and put it in a plastic saucer. The bottom of the soil/bag soaked it up quickly. I'm going to do this every other watering early on, try to get some stronger roots. The last 2 plants I harvested this week both had very weak root systems. Most of it was stringy at best.

Day 2 drying (36 hours)

RH 54%. Temp 74. Still kind of moist and sticky on outside. Smell this morn was amazing, can't wait to smoke.

2nd run (Day 6)

Weird waking up and having 2 little babies in there again. Such a buildup to harvest and now back to the beginning again.

Day 2 drying (48 hours)

RH 45%. Temp 75. Starting to dry on the outside some. After 48 hours, weight has gone down from 117g to 38g. A zip sounds realistic. i'll be checking the smaller nugs tomorrow morning, i may jar them up rather than leave them until evening. snipped the smallest popcorn nug off a branch and broke it up. Wish I would of taken a pic, but I was anxious and smoked it.

BUT DAMN!!! The first hit didn't want to burn too well, but tasted amazing. After that, the bowl burned well and had a great taste to it. Such a sweet smell and taste. Girl Scout Cookies auto by Fastbuds is recommended by me!!!

To everyone that helped out during this grow and followed along, THANK YOU! You helped me out a lot and it's nice to get a nice finished product like this. Best smoke I've ever grown.

Day 3 drying (60 hours)

I pulled everything down and snipped the stems off. They were still bendy but I was going to be gone for 12 hours, didn't want them to dry too much

I put them in 3 jars loosely, main cola by itself. I didn't close the lids. See how they feel when I get home.

Day 3 drying (72 hours)

Everything was OK when I got home from work. I left the 3 jars open. RH was reading 55%, 58% and 60%. I took the nuggies out of the jars for about 5 minutes and put them back in. Now that i'm home, I closed the jars. I'll monitor throughout the night.

If your temps hover at 75 or above and your humidity is under 50%, expect a drying time of 3-4 days. Depending on the bud and the density of it, it may go 5-7 days, but if your environment is much like mine (closet). Be very cautious after 60-72 hours.
