Jar cure (Day 7)

It seems like the smell is starting to change a bit. It still smells great, it's hard to explain. RH was sitting at 61 and 64 when I got home. Just opened the jar today for a few minutes. I try to dump everything out of the jar every other day. Just because i'm paranoid of mold.

Day 16 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

I ended up watering last night. The BD pot was light enough for a watering. The GSC was a bit heavier, so I just gave her a bit less water than the BD. I'll water Saturday night or maybe Sunday night. Once they hit 4 weeks, I will start soaking the entire pot each watering. I've been using nothing but tap water for this grow + 1tsp cal-mag per gallon.

Fighting some RH issues. Probably not helping growth. Might have to invest in a humidifier. The A/C did not run all day (I forgot to turn it down when I left) and my temps went up to 88. Must not let that happen in flower.

My GSC has some deformed leaves. Both leaves on one node have like a half leaf, it's weird.

My BD is a little bigger and very sexy :hump:

Still fighting RH is the low 30's. Probably not helping my growth any. I'm still looking at some cool mist humidifiers, just not sure which one I want to get.

Day 18 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

Decided today I was going to finally hang my carbon filter and exhaust fan. Instead of it sitting at 2.5'' ft tall in a 5'' tent. I wanted something that was easy to take down if needed, so I just bought a nice pack of bungee cords at Lowe's. Doesn't look the best visually, but If it removed the hottest air in the tent, I don't care.

Tonight will be 3 days (72 hours) since watering. The pots are still a bit moist on the bottom. I may hold off until tomorrow to water, we will see how they feel this evening.

GSC with his nubby leaves. Found an old cheap moisture reader in the garage.

Day 19 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

Watered yesterday afternoon. I gave them about 1/4 gallon of tap water (sat out 24 hours) with 1/4tsp of cal-mag mixed in. The Blue Dream was droopy before watering, this morning she was nice and perky.

My first GSC, pistils showed on day 24. That was on 12/12 lighting from seed, so take that for what it's worth. I'm going to guess it will be about the same.

These are getting close to showing as well. The reason I know, overnight they started "the stretch".

BD. New growth is nice and green, looks good. All the older leaves are looking good, similar shape and size. Liking the node spacing also.

GSC. Those nubby leaves are the largest ones pointing left and right in the pic. They have grown out, but they also look weird on the edges. This was a weird seed, hopefully it makes it all the way and doesn't herm.

Day 20 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

48 hours since watering, i'm going to wait another 24 at least before watering. They are definitely starting to stretch and I'd bet they will be showing their sex soon enough. I remember the first run, it happened fast. These autos are pretty remarkable really when you think about it.

Day 21 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

3 weeks old today. It's also water day. I've decided I'm going to give them a good watering (until runoff). First time so it will probably be good to flush out any excess buildup in the soil.

Added 1/4tsp grow big, 1/4 tiger bloom, 1/2tsp big Bloom and 1tsp cal-mag.

Day 22 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

The ladies really perked up overnight after the watering. They are looking fantastic. I see no burnt tips and no sign of deficiency (cal-mag). Fingers crossed this success continues.

Jar cure (Day 14)

The first batch of GSC is smelling very good. I have 28oz that is curing in one jar. I've been smoking a jar of popcorn. I'm still sitting between 59-63%RH. If the RH is 59-60, I usually open the jar for 10-20 minutes. If it's higher (62-63) I dump it all out and let it sit for 10-20 minutes. I'm looking for a real good, slow cure. I think it is turning out well.

Day 23 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

I've got another gallon of tap water ready for tomorrow's watering. I mixed in another 1tsp cal-mag, 1/2tsp big bloom, 1/4tsp tiger bloom and 1/4tsp grow big. This will be the last time I feed grow big, but I wanted to give a little extra N.

BD. Nice compact and not too leafy. I like the look of this girl.

GSC. A little more leafy and bushy. It's weird that this plant had some stubby leaves on one node and it seems to also be excessively leafy. Still hoping I don't run into any issues with this thing.

Day 24 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

Woke up this morning and saw the girls were a bit droopy. Its been 60 hours since watering. I've been trying to stick to my 72 hour interval, but I went ahead and watered.

Both are showing multiple sets of pistils. Focusing on keeping good air movement between the lights and plant, so I can keep them as close as possible. Trying to avoid too much stretch.

Day 26 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

Watered today. Again, it had been 60 hours since watering. Looks like I may be able to stick to this schedule. The Blue Dream was starting to droop a bit, as it did a few days ago as well before I watered. The Girl Scout Cookie is exploding! It's like a fucking bush!

Vertical growth is starting to be noticeable. The Blue Dream grew 3.5'' the last 24 hours.

Blue dream on left, still a bit droopy. Girl scout cookie on the right

Blue Dream is a grower. Even in 5 gal coco HSO Photo BD could be almost 6 ft. I cant wait to see how she does. Been going back and forth for months on buying HSO or Fast Buds Auto Blue Dreams. Might just get both for side by side.

I'm curious too. I've yet to see my bushy GSC plant droop even one bit. Seems like i'm fighting with this BD every couple days. The pot was light when lifted. The BD was droopy. I watered at 6pm. At midnight when the lights went off, it was still droopy. It's still droopy now as lights are about to come back on. Hopefully this isn't too much stress on the girl.

BD does like to be lite fed, so hopefully not a too much feed issue. Think she'd show on leaves if it was though.

Day 27 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

Proof I'm not crazy. The Blue Dream was perky as hell when I got home. I'm kind of stumped with this one. Maybe I should water the BD every 2 days (stick to 3 days with the GSC) and just monitor/go from there. If I water every 48 hours, that should eliminate it starting to droop towards hour 60. I really don't like that stress on the plant.

Day 28 (x1 Girl Scout Cookie, x1 Blue Dream)

4 weeks old today. They are definitely stretching right now, you can see the difference between last nights pic which was about 20 hours ago.

The Blue Dream is starting to develop some rust spots. Yeah, rust spots a-fucking-gain!! I only see them on the Blue Dream, I posted 2 pics of the spots. It's on the five bladed original fan leaves. My first GSC I dealt with the rust spots, but I didn't feed cal-mag from seed and I was using distilled water.

I swear I can't get this issue to leave me alone. I've been feeding cal-mag since the beginning. I switched from distilled water and I use only tap water that sits out 24-48 hours.

Tonight is time to water...... Should I flush the BD with just tap water? I've only been watering until I get a little runoff. Maybe I need to flush out any excess buildup? I know Matty you said it likes to be light fed. Maybe flush and then start mixing up 2 batches of water. One for the GSC with stronger nutes, one with weaker nutes for BD.

I'm starting to wonder.... Could this be a chlorine deficiency?

Last round my GSC was watered with distilled water only. This round, i'm using tap water, but I'm letting it set out 24-48 hours. I know a chlorine deficiency might explain the rust. My last round, the GSC ended with rusty spots all over basically every leaf on the plant. It was hard to see in the pictures, but it was covered. It also had some very thin stringy roots towards the bottom of the pot. The rust and that may point to chlorine deficiency.

UPDATE

I watered. I used 1 gallon of tap water with 1tsp cal-mag. I split it between the 2 pots but didn't get much runoff. So I mixed up another 1/2 gallon with 1/2tsp cal-mag and split that between the two pots. Got some good runoff then. The runoff was pretty brown, so hopefully I washed away any buildup.
