OK, I have been having meltdowns every three days because everything changes so fast. The latest was two days ago when everything seemed to be going fine, reaching for the sky, then like three hours later, bam, drooping leaves. There were little yellow spots on the leaves, toward the tips of the new growth. I use the GH trio and had recently ramped up to about 2/3 the recommended use There were also some sections of discoloration on the roots but my res is 70, so I don't think it's root rot. It does smell a bit like a fish tank in there though.

So I read that it was possibly nute burn, then replaced with ph adjusted water only, and that was after dipping the roots in ph'ed water for about half an hour and sprayed all the gunk off (I used latex gloves to feel if it was slimy and it wasn't). I also read that I should only use ph'd water for a couple days, so I've done that.

Things started looking up then tonight I get home, and the top leaves are folding in half near the stems, and the whole plant is drooping like crazy. There's also a bit of discoloration again.

So, is there anything that I've done right, and is there anything else I can do better?

The first pic is this afternoon at about 3, then the second two are tonight about midnight. The plant on the left is the one I'm talking about, the other two I just transplanted yesterday (hence the screen). I have no idea what strains they are because it's the Nirvana mix and they don't tell you which ones you get.

It's been a while, but I wanted to post the solution to my problem so all those beginners out there (like me), can fix the same problem I had. Well, it turns out that I freaked out a little too much. Here's the link to the pics I posted back on 3/16/10 or so.

The problem started when the leaves turned very dark green, and drooped, it stopped growing and yellow spots appeared. It turned out to be nute burn, compounded by the beginnings of root rot. I was using the GH nutes trio at half strength. So I flushed the roots by dipping them in and lifting them out of a mild nute (1/8 tsp per gallon of each), ph-adjusted solution for about 20 minutes. I switched the res to third strength and added hygrozome. The roots cleared up, but the edges turned bright yellow once I started flowering because a third was still too much nutes. I started topping off the res with only ph adjusted water and I've been told on my next res change to back off even more to quarter strength. now things are going great. The leaf edges are still yellow but I'm almost three weeks into flowering and the plants have grown about 20 inches in less than a month. I can see the start of what are probably going to be some great buds. Woohoo!

The first new pic is about a week after I first posted. Then the other two are from today. Things are looking up.

And about Hygrozome, three days after I added it to the res, the roots turned bright white and it made all the difference in the world to the plant. Only problem, that stuff is really expensive. Does anyone know a cheaper alternative that works just as well?

The water flows through the tubes with them a little over halfway full at all times. The water dumps out into a big rez underneath. The whole system runs on about 7-10 gallons. I have air stones for each plant.

One beautiful thing is I filled the rez up to 26 gallons and left the whole setup alone for 10 days (vacation). All was well upon return except for the worlds worst stretch. You can see it on the main stalk in the middle.
Why
Light is 250... but I have a 1000w being delivered in a few days.

I dont see why it wouldnt. Its basically recirculating dwc with tubes instead of buckets. I say sure, keep on posting.

Igloo coolers with 3 pumps running four elite 6 inch stones for a total of 12 stones per cooler.

1 plant per cooler this round and I have 6 more vegging.

Nutes are GH

I'm 5 days out from harvest,,,,,

How is it going Atrumblood? Ya that does suck, I got A few beans sprouting right now (lil fuckers better be fem)! I figured I would stop on by and say HIGH to everyone......

I got everything back up and going and rocking out 10 fold.....

I think it's all the same as long as your growing in water and I like the idea of a shallow reservoir.

Maybe you should start a new thread and call it SWC Grow club. (Shallow water culture).:p

Hey DWC CLUB whats gd, I hope all growin is well. But down to bizz, actually i skiped rite tru ur thread cuz im havin sum headache prob an its almost time for my ladies to hit the sack mane,...so i started to notice my ballast also is fkn up, i have to tap the damm bulb to turn on its not the bulb tho i switched it an checked so it has to be the whole damm think..i guess u really get wat u pay for...but this mornin i woke to find all my damm fan leaves completely drooped down almost all except a few on the bud site oh yea i fogot to tell u im at the endin of my 5th wk of 12/12...i noticed lastnite the water looked a lil frotty so idk mane im bummed but im thinkin of just flushing and see but idk bro...looked a few books even my bible doesnt have shit..help im loosin it....

thrive alive B-1, magical, Sugar daddy...
advance nutes..(bud blood 1st wk flwr)...vitaboost pro, sensizym,( tarantula, voodoo juice, paranha) only used tru 3rd wk of flower...(big bud 2nd-5th wk of flower)....carboload, overdrive and rhino skin...no ph tester...soo far...
so far they grew well not figuring i wouldve ended up this far but yes till today
the herb went way south to my eyes ha...also the day before i added a lil overdrive to adjust to the change before the res change an then..#3:eyesmoke:

I was lost when i seen this bongsmilieso i smoked sum purp to think about it, worst idea lol i passed out haha:eyesmoke: so i will see how they look later... hey its my first go around but i learned alot next round will be better got some humbolt commin i think all of there stuff lol i think its better stickin to one line fosure...yea wat u think...#1
