Dusting off and updating my old grow cabinet

Temps are still getting in the 80s. I believe the growstar light is producing to much heat.

Maybe double up on exhaust(bigger filter)?? Or if you have lights on during the day switch to lights on at night to take advantage of cooler night temps. I'm no pro and maybe wait for some more professional answers lol but that would be my next steps. Just recently it got into the mid 70's outide where I live and my room (where box is) went up to high 80s! Needless to say my box got extremely hot. I threw an ice pack in front of intake vent inside box and it cooled it right down!

My temps are getting to a out 85. But i found out the house ac was set at 77. So i turned it down to 74 and the box temps dropped acouple of degrees. But turning on the lights at night semms like a more logical answer.

I tested the cabinet with both chambers on for a few days, and discovered that the temps were getting in the low 80's. So i added 3 more fans. They push 44 cfm each. Time for more tests.
I, personally would take out the bottom fans in both tiers of your box and run passively. Your fans are kind of working against your negative pressure that you want to create. Fans tend to like to pull air on their own, without other fans forcing air into them. Ive had issues with temps in the past, and the culprit was the intake fan I was running. Just a thought.

Thanks for the thought. But the plants seem to be doing fine Imo. The highest temp recorded is 84 in the flower chamber with the fans the way they are.

If im not mistaken 84f Is on the high end of exceptable Temps. Almost every guide I've read and journals I've watched say the ideal Tamps are between 72-77. Again that's ideal. Also(again correct me if I'm wrong) once plants start to flower high temps like that aren't good. If 84 was just a spike here and there I think it's OK but consistently you'll Def run into problems later on . So I've heard lol

@bertosmurf this is good advice and will sort your temps out.
