Thos guys making their own LED lights can really set you up with some great ideas. Those strip LED lights would be perfect a they are pretty flat and the light is spread pretty evenly.

Went to a couple hardware stores yesterday to get some SJOOW 14 gauge wire but they were out. So i got 20ft of 12 gauge instead. Also bought a plug, getting wire nuts today so i can start some of the wiring.

I added a quick draw diagram of the main electrical plan, to help give a better idea of what i want to do.

I found two 42w and one 26 cfls, a power surge, and some socket to plug adapters stored away today. So i decided to start brain storming and buolding a light panel for the flower chamber. So i took some of the extra wood i have, and put some screws in it so i can mount the power surge to it. I used some exta white backing board and screwed it to the wood for the power surge. I drilled a couple of holes in the panel backing so heat can escape and put little eye hooks at the corners. I used some paracord and tied it to the eye hooks, the tied a slip knot ( makes it adjustable) to a key chain ring which will hang on a hook on the ceiling.

I already notice some things that will be changed when i make the other panel. Ill be using small chain and a quick release rope clamp insead of paracord and a key ring. The eye hooks will come close to the middle of the panel, and the cfls will be positioned on the side of the panel with cleat sockets instead of the current position. I may use lower watt CFL's if temps become an issue.

But other then that. Theres a basic cfl light panel for my flower chamber.

Dang. I like your ingenuity and creativity, but I have my doubts. I feel like you're putting in a lot of work and I can't see this cabinet making it worth your while. If I were in your shoes, which I was years ago, I'd invest in a 2x2 grow tent and a COB puck or small LED. Figure $200 and you'll have created an optimal grow environment (with no light leaks), portability, and proper lighting to grow some dank.

The only thing I'd ever use CFL's for is veg or clones. I just don't think you have enough space in there to have enough lighting while keeping the environment in check.

I want to see you succeed so I'll continue watching.

Thank you for your concern. But a tent in a room sticks out like a broke thumb with a splint, and only leads to curiosity. Im going for stealth, so curiousity doesnt arise. Ive done something much smaller then this and got nice results for the space and cfls. Check out this night stand grow i did 10 years ago. Thats was good bud for bagseeds.

I tried to grow in this cabinet before, but they didnt make it. I didnt have all the tools required to properly diagnose the problem. So i stopped, and put it up.

Back with an update........During the week sometime i installed the fan and filter. I put velcro on the fans power source to keep it from making any possible noise from vibrations and will stay in position when the cabinet is moved around.

And seeing today is friday. I went and pick up a couple of things at the hardware store. I got a gfci outlet, a wall cover, some screws, and two pieces of 1in x 4in x 8ft board.

Outlet, and wall cover are installed.

So far everything works. The fan really moves some air, even with the filter on.

Wish I would have made my own like you! I just didn't feel confident enough to do so without seeing one in person. After I bought my cab and examined how it was put together and what parts and tools were used to do so, it was simpler than I had thought initially. You did a great job putting it together!

I didnt make this cabinet. Im just modifying it. I did take it apart completely to put caulking in between the joints. But other then that it was already built when i got it a few years ago

I got the plans from f3om the link below and started drawing blueprints on how i thought it would work beat for my cabinet.

Well done man. I ordered a Ghost cabinet and also bought a super Nova led light to go in it before purchasing the cabinet..when I got the cabinet the light was too big and could not fit so I've been sitting on this led light for over a year only turned on once for like 10 seconds still in the box and in storage. Lesson learned! What strains are you running?
