Well some say they need light, which they do, that being said.
Mine grow bigger at 24/0 than 18/6 but I do 6-8 weeks veg half 24/0 the other half 18/6 then flower.
I just notice more growth under 24/0 especially on startup.
BUT it will run your power bill more of course so it depends on if it's worth it to you or not, also nice if you dont have a timer LOL.

well i voted for 18/6 but for the first week i keep it on 24 hours so i can get it a good start and then swich to 18/6 then to flower after 3 months of vegging

i started at 24 on for the first 3 weeks and then i switched to 18/6 . in a couple more weeks i will go 12/12.

I veg under cfl 24/0 but when I switch to veg under 600w hps until I grow enough clones i use 18/6 to save on the electricity.

I think its more natural to do the 18/6 cycle, I've done a few plants on 12/12 from seed but they just don't really grow as big as I'd like them to, mabe if you're in a hurry to smoke some quality weed you should try 12/12 but I can wait

I got some 12/12s going now and they are about a foot shorter than my others I vegged out.

i don't know if it mattered since in the end I had light leakage anyway but I actually started at 24 on then decreased by 1hour every day for 12 days. or if I even should have done that.

I dunno why you did that, best way to flower is 24 hour dark before the 12/12 switch
