Do you 12/12 from seed or 18/6 +rep for vote and post

Ive done both 24/24 and 19/5. I have not noticed a difference in plant size. I veg from seed a minimum of 4 weeks.

Think people are missing the point with 24h lighting. If your lights are on 24-7 how can photosynthesis take place properly without some kind of dark period?

No you want the seed to age a little before you put it on 12/12off.The best way to gage it is a plant will double but most of the time tripple in size while in flower.So if the grow room is 6 ft tall i would flower at just under 2 ft,but then again this all depends on how the grow room is set up if the temps are right get the lights has close to the tops has possible.This will stop the plants been leggy you want nice close internodes.The way of doing this if the temps are right in the grow room is get a extra ossalateing fan and have it blowing up towards the light you want to cool the hood and bulb down because this is where all the heat is generated.Don't get me wrong you can flower from seed but with very small yeild.

It sure does work great tho.
They really do grow more under 24/0

They are about 2 times the height in the end as the 12/12

They seem to love it I have 0 problems

24/0 for 3-4weeks
18/6 for another 3-4 weeks
by then it should be about 2-3 feet tall
12/12 and enjoy.

Aint disagreeing with you mate! Used to do 24 hr lighting up till flowering time myself. Was after reading alot of stuff about plant biology and chemistry that i changed to 18-6. To be honest i do not really see a difference. Well apart from when i get my electric bill!

Oh yeah your power bill suffers LOL
I do go 18/6 for a few weeks before flower as I think it's a more gradual light change and that's less stressful.

The worst my power bill has been is 215 (with water and sewage) but power is much cheaper where I live YAY!

Yeah I hear alot of other plp having horrible bills. Thats with the central AC running about as long as the lights it rarely shuts off so Im gonna opt for a portable AC in a month or so.

18/6 from seed for me, I let them veg for 2 to 3 months also to get the max potential out of them ladies....nothing against 12/12.... just seems like you'd be cheating the max potential from them.....and im really really baked right now....lol.....

similar to what everyone else said, but i like starting 24/0 and switch it to 18/6 or so (sometimes something like 20/4) and give it veg time before you go 12/12 its just..nature!
