DIY with Quantum Boards

Hey @robincnn , would this be a good thermal switch for 4xQB288 with HLG-480H-54A?
HLG recommends a thermal switch while wiring in parallel but did not mention any.

Thanks in advance!
Use HLG-480H-C2100A or HLG-480H-C2100B - boards go in series
If you want to use 54V driver then go with B , HLG-480H-54B will keep voltage limited to 54V so the QB 288 wont exceed rated wattage easily.

Thermal resistor goods good. looks like normally closed type

Some data we came across. We will be doing our own sphere tests in DEC.

301B 4000K

Sample 1 - 203.9Lm/W
Sample 2 - 212.9Lm/W
Average - 208.4 Lm/W

This test was for SK as that is what was available. SL is about 5% more efficient.

561C S6 4000K
Sample 1 - 202.5 Lm/W
Sample 2 - 200.6 Lm/W
Average - 201.55 Lm/W

Current SK bin of 301B are about 4% more Lm/W than 561C.
However the cost is 301B is about 40%-60% more than 561C
Current SK bin in 301B does not been worth the extra money over 561C. SL bin may have a better value proposition.
Both have similar voltage and power handling 180ma for 301B and 200mA for 561C
However 561C being cheaper, you can use more so it makes it more suitable if you are running at higher power wattage.
301B has the advantage of being smaller package so more in a given space.

I do not have the LER/QER as the 380-780 spectrum numbers i have are in increments of 5
Spectrum is almost the same.

Depends on the strain. If the breeder says large, then stick with 2, trust me...lol! small to medium plant 3-4. But its always a matter of getting to know a strain. Personally, I'd stick with 2 in a tent that small

Could i run 3 autos with 135w kit in a 2x2 and get a decent yield? Or would 2 be better?

After reading this whole thread and bouncing through the hlg website, I have come to one conclusion. All you guys Need to go over to the hlg website and show Stephen and Robin some love on their site by posting your reviews of these wonderful products and customer service! I see 0 reviews on most of the products and 1 on only some of them. These guys are clearly busting their @$$es to give you awesome products and truly amazing service. The least we could do for them is get some reviews up help them out a bit, show them we love them as much as they love us! #notapaidadvertisement

Dude, I appreciate that they are decent people -- but they are in business to make money.

You are definitely correct in that statement, however these guys are getting close to zero love on their website, while providing a higher level of service than at least 95% of companies in any industry. With all of the people in this forum saying "oh wow this is awesome" you figure a few of these dudes should show some love on the hlg site. Basicly help them help you. I run a business and can tell you I definitely appreciate when some one takes time to say hey this company is great, or they did a good job here, and the product is superior. Whatever way they see value in. It helps other people find me and appreciate what we do. SO before you flame me for simply saying show some love.Think about how business works. When you see 1 person say this is great vs 1000 people say it it makes whatever you are buying an easier decision to make. That is all.

I'm running at 700ma so not too far off I'm stunned as well plants grow crazy fast when you keep the lights pretty close

Day 14 of flowering with the additional qb120s on my rig. Plants are looking healthy and happy so far, what do you think? Qb120s are at 100% running on 2.1a driver, cobs around 80% on a 1.75a driver.

This pic is from yesterday, hopefully this was the final round of defo
