DIY with Quantum Boards

Yeah. Some of the lumen gains compress from a change in how they apply the phosphorus. 2% gain or so in ppf/w vs lm561c and a lot more cost.
Exactly it's just funny that people are finally starting to notice them. Is the beam angle different? I remember looking at them a while ago i thought I remember reading about a more narrow beam angle

Quantums work well with " others " - G8 Deep Red LEDs ( 630-660nm )
I bought these awhile back ( stupid BLURPLE days ) but chose to keep these for shits and giggles. The quantums ALONE do the job , but chose to add more RED SPEC from time to time ........mostly when I do the back build on buds technique. It helps for what it is , and have added them to my 3500k quantums as " filler ". I use the now as positional lighting both above and side depending on area.

It throws very intense red , even just one of them .....

Hey yall im looking into QB’s & wanted to know what one would recommend for a flowering tent just shy of being a 3x3.

I have a hlg 240-1050 that’s running some cxb3070’s & a half broken chilled board smh. Its not a pretty setup just temporary until I can upgrade. Definitely better than cheap burple leds!!

I could do another Cree setup like my 4x2 but wanted to do something different eiher with QB’s or LM561C strips.

I'm not sure why he recommended the 304 specifically, but the 288s are basically the exact same thing, and are in stock.
Yes I do see those available. Thanks!

The 304 and 288 run at different voltages so you could match them to a existing driver if you had one or match them to a available one.
Got it! I still have to do some more reading especially this thread. I have a 240-1050 meanwell driver I want to use.
