DIY with Quantum Boards

Here's 4 QB304 @363 watts at the wall, in a 4x4 tent. I can't even imagine running it at close to 500 watts! In a sealed room with CO2, yes, in a tent without, even my light borders on overkill. I'm thinking of changing the drver, its dimming circuit doesn't work. I'm thinking of replacing the 320H-C2800 with a 240H-C2100b for about 55 watts per board instead of 85.

My plants got out of control, I wasn't expecting this kind of growth! Thats just three plants

Lol, what about 2 x hlg 550s in a 4 x 4.....? Lol
My mate loves it!
I'll try n get a pic or two.
I've told him it's too much light but he lives in "Free Electic Land"
He had one hlg 550 + 660 watt HPS over 4 plants in a 42"x 48" room but has now moved them into the 4x4 tent.
Tent temps 27-29oC
The 2 plants that were under the 660 watt HPS are 4 - 6" taller than the 2 that were under the 550 from the start but the ones under the 550 all the way through are super stocky.
The lights are 20" away from the plants

Hey! after much lurking decided to upgrade my setup with 4 x QB120 boards that I ordered today. the no heat sink required was what sold it to me, along with the great coverage and low price. will add them to my existing 5 x vero29 3500k 36v on 1.75a (315w max) COBs, and throw in a a new HLG 240H-c2100b to drive the QB120s.
planning on placing them on each corner of my frame, they should fit in nicely

i'm currently using a 100k pwm with a 10k resistor for dimming the cob array. any concerns about using a pwm for dimming like i'm using with the COBs or should i consider a different pwm/resistor capacity?
for an 80cmx80cm tent i'm sure going to have tons of light :)

thanks!

I'm wiring up my boards from watching the video on the HLG web site. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. In the video on the DC the wires are black and red, mine are blue and brown, I know the hot is brown and the blue is ground, Do I attach my black wire to brown with the Wago and the red wire to blue?
Yeah you really cant hurt the boards with a meanwell driver if you wire it wrong, there are protection circuits for short, open ,reverse polarity , over current over volt, and temp

Lukio you take the best pics man, i seriously thought you had some kindof upside down 360 grow in that first pic. But i was really stoned and i see its just half the 4x8 hanging, just an awsome shot though

Nice build that looks perfect for 4 120s in the corner think the 120 will be the most versital board for filling in spectrum and gaps in lighting canopy, i love the mau5 flower initiator puck on it too hows that baby working

The last run was with 2 auto plants one from the smaller variety that yielded 60g and the other from the XXL type yielded 320g. The Vero29 are really awesome, and going with a sog run this time, I figured I can use the extra coverage that the 120 offers. And again, 30usd with no heatsink, that's roughly 40-50usd off the price of a cob+heatsink+shipping. Can't wait to put them in

Hot temps out west .... GO DODGER " GREEN "

Anyways down in the 3x3 , the KomaKUSH is winding down and will get Choppity chop on Saturday. Triches are pretty cloudy and some recede has started , most leaf matter has faded and dropped so I'm ready to get her hung.

The 2 ) GOG - Godfather OG has began to flower and will occupy the same tent once KomaKush is out. I have another that is about ready to flip too.

Temps were a little of an issue ( ambient) do to 100 plus degree weather.
Wtf ?????
