DIY with Quantum Boards

I put my boards and heatsinks in a frame. I used threaded rod to make posts for the fans so that they would be an inch above the heatsinks, leaving room for air movement. I later decided that I didn't want to run them hard enough to need fans and removed them. I'd rather run a couple more boards than run at higher wattage on fewer boards.

SWIM just purchased 4 QB324 V2's (54 VDC) + 2 Meanwell HLG-320H-C2800A's -- on the way! Those lights look awesome. Were they tricky putting together? Would you recommend putting a computer fan on top of the heat sink or a clip-on minifan directed over the top of the sink?

Question .... Do you think this meanwell might be able to be repaired ?

It did a soft click ( relay ? ... thermal part ? ) before going dark . There is no output ( checked ) .
So wondering if you guys think it could be salvaged. I have not opened it .... yet.

Thinking it’s an OVER THERMAL issue as stated before because of where it was mounted .
It was wired in series so no issues like with parallel wiring and constant current drivers.

Just throwing it out there to the electrical nerds out there ..... maybe it can be saved.
I just pulled out of trash and banana peels ... lol.

SWIM ordered on Sunday, Monday was presidents day (standard shipping services closed), tracking number provided today. Not bad HLG!

In this case, the kits were not ordered because SWIM wanted to run at a higher mA and have two panels per driver. Does anyone know any accessories or items one should also purchase for assembly?

If you did not buy the kits you will need. 2' 18g solid core wire. M5 screws, m5 screwdriver, wire strippers, wago clips, nema 15p 16/3 sjtw power cord, a way to hang the sinks. If you know how to solder you could skip the wago clips.

Thanks. If I wanted a longer distance on the wire to mount the driver external to the tent, would I be safe going with a smaller gauge (thicker) wire?

I use 14 gauge stranded wire to remote mount the drivers.
Thanks, SWIM will order some 14 gauge wire then; the solid core wire? Also will get M5 screws, m5 screwdriver, wire strippers, wago clips, nema 15p 16/3 sjtw power cord. SWIM may solder the connections if they're straight forward enough. SWIM has a solder gun for electronics. I assume I'd use the standard flux / silver rosin for the solder joints?

Thanks everyone!
