You can run any of them without a heatsink, just keep them below 70 watts, with the QB 120 kept at or below 60 watts

Anyone talked to HLG staff lately? I emailed them 7 days ago about an order they sent me that was broken and messed up and I'm not getting a reply for a week now. Seems like these guys need to hire more staff. Rapid LED and Chilled always get back to me same day. Anyone have advice how to get ahold of HLG?

I think they were out of town for a conference last week so maybe that has delayed them. It was an alert on the bottom of their webpage.
I am still waiting for the New Years Sale! Maybe the Super Bowl Sale now! Or Chinese New Year Sale!

I am having a major problem with stretching use a small florucent grow bulb that came with seedling dome.
is a 450W full spectrum LED like the one in the picture good for seedlings? If so should i turn the BLUE/RED/WHITE spectrums all the way up? If these LEDs are good, how close should they be to plants? Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Your likely to get some ugly responses to this, most here have had or know of people who've had one of these Chinese burple lights. They will grow your plants and seedlings. However, the LEDs they use are garbage and are NOT full spectrum, that's an outright lie they promote. They are also less efficient than most HPS lights! If its what you have use it and save for something better, if you haven't bought it yet, don't blow your money Vipar or any of these cheap lights, they are cheap for a reason. In the pic I posted above, you'll see a "300" watts light. Burnt out leds, bad fans and was only 1 year. I didn't know better, I was not involved with forums when I bought it. A couple of QB boards based lights will out perform ANY burple light. A single QB 288 puts out 3 TIMES as much light as that Vipar.

you'd be better off with a CMH and adjustable ballast. If you like the way the light looks buy it. They all grow. Maybe just go to depot and buy the biggest led bulbs you can find with a few socket splitters and clamp lights. done
watch out for these maniacal led guys. they're dangerous. they give you a brain virus trying to inject shit in your head

CMH is nice, but its still dead technology. Modern LED lighting is taking over for a reason, its more efficient and has better spectrum. Why to you think Gavita sold its HPS division? To concentrate on LED tech. and your very wrong about the LED bulbs also, they too will grow plants yes, and they too for such a purpose are a waste of money. Sounds like your nothing but a troll if you come into a thread like this and spout your HPS/CMH crap. Bet you drive a Model T too.........

Led is "interesting" but I do still have my reservations
