DIY with Quantum Boards

Today is a perfect day for an HLG/ MLK “I had a Dream Sale”. He LED the country into the right direction.

It’s been a mild winter for Minnesota, so I can’t complain.

It's cold as fuck out here in NYC

Hey all just wondering what the best layout and spacing for 4 qb 132s in a 32x32 tent. Was thinking the first layout looks better but what the fuck do I know.
Any opinions would be welcome thanks guys.

either will work fine. If your building a frame, the second layout will be much easier to build.

The ladies are loving the QB light and Megacrop! They got their first res of Megacrop 2.0 today.

new formula ?

Yes was released a couple weeks ago. More PK and more Mg, a few other little tweaks.

cool, intesting to see the run, I forgot to order the new formula with the deal, meant to like 20 times, never got to it, smh. I have like 1000g of the old formula left, but cant wait to get the new MC. The adding calmag and pk is a pain,lol.

Can I use this wire? If not what should I use?

Might be too big if you are using the clips. For soldering it is perfect.

I used 18 gauge solid core.

you want 18-20 gauge solid core wire to the cob or cobholder. Multistrand wire can be difficult to insert into a cob holder, might be ok if your going to solder direct to the cob.

And the open + and - go to the + and - on the driver correct?

Is there any real advantage to running 2 288's vs 4 132's? Im gonna be getting ready to build some new lights soon, and the 132's seem like they can handle the same amount of power, but with more even coverage, and they are cheaper.

I chose the 132s because they do not require heat sinks making them a cheaper option. Plus with a square tent I wanted more even light coverage. I figured 4 boards would be more even than 2. If I had a rectangle tent I might go with 2 bigger boards but not sure.
