DIY with Quantum Boards

Hope you got the good ones! My latest round the germ rate sucked. These may be older than I thought. But I'm cheering for them lol! The Dragon's Blood have always had stellar germ rates. I started with F2 seeds that were at least 5 years old and not well stored. 10 of 12 sprouted!

Good luck!

Yes there still plenty in the holder but I too have run into seeds that " I assumed " I stored properly... Those Candy dream vial of seeds are giving me a round of duds ... I tried 12 to germ to keep that strain going .... But ..... All were duds .... I scuffed them , soaked them , moved them into peat plugs ...NOTHING . I even yelled at them , cursed them like a sailor , placed in a pentagram and killed a chicken over them and STILL NOT A GOD DAMN THING .

I have tons more but it looks like they are not as viable as they were before. Which makes me worried about the other stuff I have.

Looking to see what happens with these " dragons " ... I am going to watch the mid veg growth and structure , if there is a KEEPER , then it will get CS for fem pollen and self it for a few NEW seeds. And only keep a smaller amount beans on hand instead of hoarding seeds.

anyone know what the biggest gauge wire the connectors on the 304 boards can take? Trying to run my dimmers and drivers on the outside of my rooms and need more wire than is included. (They arent here yet, trying to get everything here at the same time.)

Get 18 gauge solid core - any electronic parts store

For those " trippin " about quantum temps - during summer.

On the west coast ... In the middle of hellish heat wave . But no worries.
I use NO AC , NO BLOCKS OF ICE or other cooling. Just a stupid 9" oscillating fan .
Exhaust is not active when tent is open .... There is adequate cross ventilation and air movement among the plants ...... But it will depend on your own setup.

Ambient RH is crazy dry ... Under 30% but the girls are not suffering. Even in airpots ( which dry a bit faster ) . I also control heat based on power load via dimmer. By just dimming you are actually increasing the led effiency .... So it's a no brainer.
Lower the power , raise the efficiency, lower the temps .... Easy Peazy.

By this method I " could " run the tent closed if I wanted to.

Bottom line , with dim control you CAN affect heat output / load ... It saves me hella coin by not looking at splits or wall mounted AC or crazy venting. Plants are happy , green , and praying as usual, but will begin some silica in the watering at next time. It toughens them up.

Your mileage will vary.

Its done bro!!! Check out my thread Day 29!!!
Glad to hear it ... Big difference since you jumped on the quantum train right ?
Also glad you weathered the trolls that were battling ... Never take it serious , I never do .
Trolls and basement dwellers are lurking here and other forums , I still get them from time to time but I carry on. They can eat a bag of dicks .
I'm still learning myself about things even tho I've been growing for awhile , matter of fact looking at no till gardening. Like Kind Soil and shit like that. I want to reduce the bottle nutes over time.

Peace

Been following this thread for sometime, bought a few boards earlier this year just the little guys ,decided to get a few more so I was doing some rebuilding for a couple 8 board setups, and just happened to see something on one of the boards, which looks like some sort of corrosion ,wondering if anyone has seen anything like that on their boards. Don't really give shit long as it keeps working,

It takes a bit of perseverance to get into the full all natural cycle thing... You really need to do about 3 grows in it before the soil is alive and microbes well established.
if I had an outdoor greenhouse, I would be running just weeds and weed in the same soil. I even plant grass in my outdoor pots to soak up the heat from the sun.

I've been doing no till and megacrop in my auto pots for three grows now. Just cut out the stump and plant in the hole! I use an old bread knife to cut out the stump.
